My best friend's back

So happy my best friend ww came back to Taiwan from
Vancouver. I will spend some time hanging out with her
from tomorrow onwards. Gotta shout her a nice meal at the
famous veggie restaurant and then go shopping together.
We will attend a reunion too...great to meet our ex-
classmates again! :D

These days I have more activities since I gotta know some
new friends. Sometimes I feel too busy...@_@ of course
friends are like books, just like the line in a Chinese
book. They bring us different kinds of ideas and make our
lives more interesting. hehehe you agree with me right.
Anyway I had a happy weekend, and I wanna thank my
friends...they are so nice! I wish them all good luck. =^^=

Sweated a lot

Had a wonderful time today. Just like what I said a few days ago...exercise is great for our health both physically and mentally. The side effect is my thighs are weak now...cannot walk too much now. Lucky it's Saturday. I don't feel like exhausting myself on Sunday since I will have no energy to deal with those naughty teens. Talking about work, I got a phone call from school last night. They told me to take over my colleague's duty from next Monday onwards...for 6 days. I was like :O and asked him what went wrong with her. What?? Cannot speak at all since this Friday...@_@ oh my that is the worst condition for teachers! Sure I will help her--it means I will have to OT for 6 days. $_$ good...

Will be very busy ^_^

The weather's real changeable...in the morning it's cold
and foggy, but sunny and warm this afternoon. Some
students came over to say they thought my purple skirt
was cute, and so were my boots ( rimmed with some fake
fur.) Thanks. But I will have to wear something brighter
tomorrow...since we all gotta be taken pictures for our
school year book. For students' sake, you know...me,
their homeroom teacher, will try my best to look super
pretty! >:D
Moreover I will be very busy this weekend...from Friday
evening onwards. Some friend asked me out and I said ok.
Usually I would sleep not so early on Friday night--no
school next day! On Saturday another friend asked me to
visit a place in Taipei county, where I've never been
there. Free vegetaraian lunch, I must say it is what
attracts me most...*sobs* So easy to allure me? :P

38

ZZZzzz

Be treated

A colleague who teaches Chinese shouted me lunch at Stay
Cafe. My veggie meal cost 220 NT...guess it is ok. It's
getting a bit cold, not like yesterday. It was sunny and
hot. We have a slang in Chinese: The weather in spring is
like a step mom's facial expression, which means it
changes very fast. Tomorrow is Women's Day. *sighs* Too
bad we females still have to work. Ah I am used to that.
Hmm feeling a bit sleepy...being busy these days. I need
to sleep earlier.

Had a good time

Had a pretty good sleep last night...maybe because of my
taking enough exercise earlier in the evening. To my
surprise, my headache was gone--yes you can say it again
people need to get exercise to keep healthy! ( both
mentally and physically *nods* ) Besides I had fun
walking around Ximending with some friend, window
shopping only since we didn't buy anything at all. The
most interesting was we found we might be the oldest
customers after we sat down in the restaurant where we
were to have dinner. LOL He said it was possible I would
see students here. I then replied, "They would be scared
to be found by me here...'how come you guys don't stay
home to study for CBT but wander in Ximending huh!' you
know."

It was sunny and warm...a nice Saturday. Today, hmm looks
cloudy. Anyway, wish everyone a wonderful time no matter
where you are.

Got a headache and weird dreams

*sighs*

hahahaha >:D
@_@ 真是...

Cold and dry in Taipei

Got a new seal

Feeling a bit dizzy all day...yeah tomorrow is a national
holiday in Taiwan. And we have no school for sure--that's
why students and me couldn't help laughing, even making
some noise in class. But a colleague's mom was sent to
the intensive care unit because of her second apoplexy.
Thus I agreed to take over her duty and went teach the
3rd session, which was supposed to be my tea break. To be
honest, it is very tiring to teach non-stop 4 sessions in
the morning...although one day maybe I will need other
teachers' help too.

This afternoon I went to get some documents at the
Household Registration Office. On my way there I decided
to get a new seal for myself. Heh it is my favorite
color--purple, and looks real cool. I don't think my
friends in foreign countries can understand how come we
need chops for many events in our lives. hehe however it
IS necessary especially when it comes to dealing with our
bank accounts. ( Hah I see questions marks popping up
from friends' faces now...you guys don't need seals when
you enter a bank to withdraw your money right? ) Thanks
goodness I am very lucky...get a nice new seal and
receive the documents in a very short time. ( Some people
told me they gotta wait in lines for several hours...but
I got what I would like in around half an hour or less
this time and last time as I wanna get my new ID. )

It's time to get a new passport. I will proceed to our
Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
in the near future and hope I have the same good luck
there! ^_^

New ID

Need more energy

A tiring day...since I had 6 sessions. You can imagine I
don't even wanna talk with my family after work. *grins*
Neither do I want to go practice with the choir. Although
I really enjoy singing with those lovely friends, you
know. The choir leader was disappointed when I told him
by phone I wouldn't go tonight. Next week will be better
I think--only 4 sessions for Thursday. I will have more
energy left for the choir.

As for anime, I watched Bleach 60 and 61. Still got 62
and 63 to go...I wish I could have more free time!
Another nice anime is Yakitate Japan...*sobs* I have no
time for around 10 'new' eps yet. I dare not bring those
to school, too bad...otherwise I could watch some during
my break time in the office. ( And got caught by my boss
one day you might say. Hah that's why I wouldn't watch
them there! )

Anyway weekend is coming. Hope I can sleep in...and have
time for playing around.

Got hurt

Yummy snack

Lost some weight

I decided to lose some weight at the end of the winter
break, but school clinic was closed that time. Thus I
didn't know about my body weight. By the way I do not
trust the scale at my place. *chuckles* Anyway our school
clinic is open and I went in and told the nurse I wanna
know how much I weighed. She informed me people thought
what the scale said appeared heavier than they weighed
somewhere else! I didn't care...I happily stepped on it.
The nurse came over and took a look for me. LOL~ I did
not even take off my coat! She said whoa you are slender!
So...what, I can have more chocolate and potato chips
now? Nah...summer time is coming. Short dresses and
skirts are waiting for me! *grins*

Go to school happily

Gonna work like crazy again

School will start tomorrow. Ahh...a nice winter break. I
had lots of fun during this period of time. But you know
nothing is perfect...some events that made me sad also
happened. I do think it is difficult to change one's
personality. Furthermore, it is very painful to change
our own personalities for others, especially when we are
already old. That's what I experienced recently. We had
better to find the ones who can accept what we are.
Otherwise...life is miserable.

I attended a reunion yesterday, and met some ex-
classmates happily. In fact I am not an active person,
who would contact friends and relatives from time to
time. But I would reply them warmly and agree to meet
them if they invite me to. Not that I never ask others to
come visit me or shout them drinks or meals, but probably
I am more likely introverted...However, we talked about
our school when we all studied in NTNU, laughed a lot,
and learned about each other's life--some got married,
moved to another city and now teach in different schools,
and so on. We were glad to keep in touch again like this
and even made an appointment for next month--since Sheila
will come back from Vancounver then! That will be
fabulous to meet my best friend again...*smiles*

I plan to see the lanterns and have dumplings this
evening! Yes I know I will be very busy from tomorrow
onwards...

Checking emails is fun...and I found this site
http://home.fujifilm.com/alaska/index.html interesting. I
might not be able to visit that place in my life...many
beautiful pictures in there. I just clicked it and
enjoyed the slide show for a while...hehe. Also got some
funny cartoons forwarded by a friend, which are about the
movie Brokeback Mountian. LOL quite naughty I think. Too
bad I cannot forward this onto my blog ( neither do I
know how to paste cartoons here.) Maybe you'll get them
from your friends too. *grins*

Always nice people around me...*being grateful!*

2000 NT for Justy

Well I have my little car Justy back today, and it cost
me 2000 this time to get it fixed. The price of gasoline
is to soar and I am pondering...ah forget it. It's so
convenient to drive a car to work.

Got 5 sessions for today. I feel a bit better ( still a
headache maybe because of...hehe that. ) My friend gave
me some nice dumplings so I cooked them for dinner. Hmm
not bad. My friend suggested that I should lose some
weight recently and I said ok. It means I wouldn't have
my favorite hot pots for quite a while. LOL~ It is not me
but the owner of that shabu shabu restaurant who will
feel sorry then.

Enjoying my holidays

Time flies! :O Can't believe it's Friday...and I am gonna
work from the coming Monday. Well, you know, maybe a good
thing for me, since I only spent money on holidays (
mostly for food, transportation. ) After I start
teaching, especially when it is still our winter break,
hehehe I will get some good extra pay. $_$
These 2 days I did pay a visit to some well-known places
in Taipei, National Taiwan Science Education Center,
where I think I can take kids to have fun some other time
in the future. Many interesting exhibitions in there, and
moreover they got 3 D and 4 D movies ( how come it's
called 4 D? @_@ too bad I did not go watch it because I
happened to have another appointment that day, not enough
time for the movie then. )

New Beitou is another good scenery spot, which is pretty
famous for its hot spring. In addition to hot spring
bath, it is also enjoyable to walk on the paths in the
mountains. ( In fact it's quite near Yangmingshan, you
know. ) I saw some beautiful houses, guess people living
in there are very rich. Hah they can have hot spring bath
every day in their bathrooms maybe. The only disadvantage
might be they gotta stand the special smell from hot
spring and lots of visitors hanging out in the
neighborhood. ( yes I am one of them, but hey I ain't a
peeping Tom! )

I also went to the eastern area of Taipei City, and felt
surprised to find several SNG cars parked in front of a
gym, California. After a while I learned it's because
some person died of carbon monoxide poisoning while he's
working out in another gym ( not California ) the day
before yesterday. Thus they had this fire drill in case
there may be similar accidents...but I got the feeling
that they had it just like a show, anyway. What? You are
asking me if I work out in a gym too? LOL of
course...NOT. Not my cup of tea. I am so lazy. That's why
I told some guy who suggested I should go take exercise
to make my figure even better: you just chase any girl
who is hot ok. Don't bug me...I am fine with the way I
look. *smiles*

Later on I'll go see a movie, and enjoy the last relaxing
Friday in this break. Hope you guys have a wonderful day
too!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Today's the Chinese Near Year's Eve. Hah it's my
winter break as you guys know. Let me tell ya what I
did these days after the school term ended. First of
all I attended a performance at Dr. Sun Yet-sen's
Memorial Hall. Of course I sang with the choir. The
most impressing event was we sang with a lady, who I
used to admire so much, Ms. Jian. She was our choir
master's ex-classmate; so we all felt honored that
she came sing with us on the stage.

The next day I left Taipei for the middle of Taiwan
with some friend. Heh great to spend my vacation
somewhere in the mountains! We didn't stay in a big
hotel, but a nice lovely hostel. The owner was not
around, so it's 2 young ladies to greet us there in
the living room ( the lobby, supposedly. ) Needless
to say, the air's fresh and clean, the scenery's
beautiful. When we looked at the sky at night, there
were so many stars shining...amazed to find the very
famous constellation Cynosure easily. We got some
vegetables and had hotpot; we even made coffee at the
balcony. Ahh so enjoyable to have coffee this
relaxingly...

Time past so fast. 3 day's trip is just too short.
After coming back to Taipei, it was just one day left
to settle things done--most people won't work during
CNY. Luckily I could still withdraw some money and
all the notes are new, good for being put in red envelopes.
Hehe yeah for my parents later. Ok I think I am to
stop here ( watching TV, having pu er tea, and
blogging the same time ) and I wish all of my friends

Now it's winter break

Lucky ^.^b

Had a dream

Right before I woke up this early morning...It was
like I watched myself in a movie. That was a strange
place ( maybe not strange for the 'me' in the dream
though ) and I was taken there by a friend of mine.
He left me alone and disappeared ( went to another
strange place maybe...can't remember that clearly now
) Thus, I talked with him on the phone and seemed I
was complaining about such a situation--we were
supposed to have fun together. Guess you know what
the only solution was too--I could do nothing but
leave, agitated.

So I stepped out of the building, walking on the
street...then the road led to the mountains. Feeling
a bit panicky, I kept walking in the mountains.
Gradually a peaceful feeling crept over me...I felt
everything was fine again, able to see other people
walking by and the beautiful scenery. I smiled when I
found some little pieces of paper on the road on
which interesting terms were written. ( Sorry can't
remember what the terms are now, but they seemed fun
in there. ) My hands were in front of my chest, like
a pilgrim walking towards the desired destination. I
was not praying...but finally got to the place I
would like to see--a station. It was nearly the end
of my dream. One thing that was funny enough to be
mentioned here: I saw a bus driven by a female driver
crazily. Usually people think females drive in a
'mild' way.

Dreams are sometimes the reflections on the real
life...so I guess I know how come I had such a dream.
Anyway, I chatted with my best friend WW this early
afternoon during break. She was upset for something
happened yesterday. And we both agreed that we good
women should not be bothered by such trifles and
always have to move on. We gotta have a life...a very
happy one for sure. Let's cheer up.

Still being sick

Got a headache and a sore throat

Hmm I did not have a sore throat for a long time, but
my throat does hurt now. Well...maybe since yesterday
afternoon, I guess, got a little iced sprite, and
then had a hot pot for dinner. Yeah you'd ask how
come I didn't have a sore throat after having hot
pots. Hehe what made this hot pot 'special' was there
were some chinese herbs in the soup--dang gui and
ginseng. Both are way too heaty for me. Lucky I
didn't drink lots of soup ( my friend did have a
lot...) so I am supposed to be fine by tomorrow
morning, hopefully.

As for my work at the end of a school term, the very
troublesome lesson plans we teachers need to do every
semester, @#$%^&*&^%$#@ ( allow me to scold those
officers first ), I gotta OT at home--really not my
style. I used to finish work at school, you know, but
this time I couldn't since they gave us homeroom
teachers too much to finish during week days. That I
know my colleagues have to work at home also doesn't
make me feel better but wanna tell those SOBs at Edu.
Apt. off even more. They just don't think homeroom
teachers at high schools need to spend most of the
time teaching and disciplining students. They want us
to be like professors at univ or editors--heh maybe
we can find a job easily writing books or such after
we quit our jobs as teachers? ( kidding XD )

Ok I complained enough. Now let me talk about
something fun about the past week. I took leave on
Thur and went to Taoyuan with a friend. Had a nice
buffet for lunch there. The table was near the
window, so we could have a good view while eating.
(The vegetarian restaurant was on the 3rd floor. ) It
was interesting to drink some veggie beer, 2 flavors:
one was bitter and the other is sweet. Of course we
liked it sweet! And I went to a famous place near
Danshui this Sat with friends. Too bad didn't watch
the sunset because they were playing games in a store
though. Still a lot of fun.

Ahh...the last week of this school term will be
coming soon. I know I can survive...

A bit complaint...

學期末,這幾天忙瘋了,英文叫做:I work like crazy...
OK I hope some officers can understand homeroom teachers more...they just sit there; they don't need to get along with teenagers at school. It is so sad that most of the officers don't listen--now most students are under much more pressure than before. Well...poor kids in Taiwan. Thus, you guys know it's very tiring for both parties, teachers and students, in the end of a school term. I need a vacation...but I gotta finish the lesson plans before this winter break starts. Students need to take the final test, you know. All right...let's all brace up for our arduous tasks! XD

Feeling romantic

Work's been hectic the past week. Yeah you got it--
the end of this school term. I am responsible for the
final test for year 9. After finishing writing the
exercises, I asked a good friend of mine to take a
look for me and see if there were some mistakes ( on
spelling or grammar. ) My thankfulness... *smiles*

The most important happened at school recently was we
all took pictures for the school year book. Hah you
can imagine how busy we were that day--busy looking
into the mirror in front of the boys' and girls'
rooms and checking again and again whether we looked
appealing enough. LOL

A girl student brought along moose and helped the
peers with hair. Oh I ain't her classmate but she
finally came make my hair look more smooth. While
combing mine, she said, 'teacher, you have white
hair...' I replied, 'yah...getting old.' It's
enjoyable to keep them company for 3 years and see
them graduate from junior high school. They are going
to leave in the middle of this June. Woo

Last night I chatted with a nice guy while watching
TV. And mentioned an old movie we both knew ages ago
and it's theme song: Reality. A while later, right
before I was to go off to bed, he said he would play
something for me. Suddenly I heard this beautiful
melody and the lyrics I was so familiar with: Met you
by surprise, I didn't realize, that my life would
change forever...whoa...*melting* I was so
touched...romantic feelings all around me. What a
wonderful Saturday night!

My first blog for 2006

Marketing Manager,
Angel Lin,

At night I went out with a friend to Taipei 101, yeah
to see the fireworks at midnight. On my way to MRT I
met an old friend, who pursued me ages ago. He's
married now and has 2 lovely daughters. In fact I ran
into his wife and kids earlier, after I saw the
movie. We greeted happily and he told me something
about his work and where he's been the past years.
Then I was kidding it's lucky that he didn't marry me
otherwise he'd get into trouble since I became a
vegetarian. LOL he then said 'well I didn't persist
that time...' and he's to find me some veggie
cookies. Heh no need...I hope he just take good care
of his wife and kids will do. Saying bye and happy
new year, I left him for MRT--already a bit late.

Anyway I knocked out my way out to Taipei Main
Station and finally Taipei 101 with my friend. Oh my
there were bunches of people...more than 100,000 I
persumed. All gathering around the tallest building,
waiting for the midnight show. We gotta kill time
first, you know...about 3 hours to go. So we walked
around, had snacks at a restaurant, did window
shopping and took pictures. I didn't bring my little
digi cam along but my mp3 player. While we were
resting at a dark corner for an hour, we could listen
to songs and chatted till it was about time for the
performance. All was fabulous...people went WOW WHOA
a lot; I must say it's a lot of fun to watch the
fireworks. But it was a nightmare when it's time for
people to go back home. We struggled hard to find
ways and walked quite a long distance--guess I had
exercised enough this way for 2006.

Still a beautiful beginning I must say...something
sweet and enjoyable afterwards. I do hope you guys
who are reading my blog have a wonderful time too. I
also wish we all have good luck in this new year !

New Year's Eve

OK...seems I don't have much free time left now. Anyway, being grateful, I must thank all the nice people around me. I hope those who are not taken yet can find the Ones, and those who are already in relationships can have a wonderful time in the coming 2006. As for me, hehehe I am still single ( I really don't mind you know. ) I believe I will live as happily in the near year as 2005. Gotta go...*waves bye* All of you have a happy New Year's Eve!!

The last working day in 2005

Hah today is the last working day of this year!
I'm looking forward to the New Year's Eve...woo
and my annual bonus!

so you guys know I am pretty pragmatic when it
comes to money--only made 'a few mistakes' before,
for example, giving money to wrong persons.
*fuming* Oh no, I shouldn't be upset at this time
of the year...gotta be cheerful! 2006 is coming
and I have so many good friends and stuff around
me. However let me talk about some events happened
not long ago.

We Taiwanese didn't celebrate Christmas like other
countries; I always evny my foreign friends when
they tell me how many holidays they got and then
they don't have to work or study at school. Lucky
Christmas was on the weekend this year, so we ( my
friends and me ) managed to have some fun. The
night before Xmas ( Fri. )I went out to walk
around on the streets in central Taipei. All the
stores decorated their windows beautifully...nice
to see many Xmas trees, big or small, standing and
shining my favorite city...This was the first time
I passed by so many pubs and bars at night without
entering either of them though. If I did I might
have been the target for some western guys hanging
around in there looking for some fun? *grins* No
no no...I wouldn't like to step in, but still had
a wonderful time hanging out with my friend.

And it's fabulous to go for hot pots in a
restaurant where I'd never been there eating. It's
common to have hot pots in Taiwan, but what's
special about this restaurant is custumers gotta
serve themselves. Thus I just headed for the area
for vegetarians, getting lots of vegetables,
mushrooms, soy-bean curds, and so on. Also they
got snacks and ice cream ( 4 flavors ) so...my
break time's up. However I'll blog about what's
going on ( as long as I am not that busy, you
know. ) *winks* Happy New Year to all my good
friends! All the best wishes to you in 2006!!

Dumplings...yummy!

By the way I will be very busy tomorrow. A meeting
for all the homeroom teachers at 7:50 a.m. *sighs* I
really don't wanna attend it although breakfast will
be provided. Well...guess I have no choice. It's
getting colder, so it's wonderful to sleep earlier
with the heater's on. *yawns...* My eyes are
tired...hmm so hardworking I've been.

My thankfulness

All this week we gotta wear heavy clothes since it's
pretty cold. Of course not cold enough for us to have
a white Christmas...but the atmosphere's been nice. I
put on a red Xmas cap and gave students candy in
class after they answer my English questions well or
read some English vocabulary or paragraphs. LOL You
might think 'this teacher's torturing kids.' As a
matter of fact kids enjoy it, you know...sometimes we
teachers gotta motivate their learning ( but I do
feel a bit painful while paying for the candy and
chocolate...)

Moreover, we had a singing competition. One of my
girl students went with 2 boy students from other
classes. Right before they were to sing, they came
ask me to listen to their song and maybe give them
some advice. Heh I guess it's because I was seen to
play the guitar ( not mine but a student's ) and sing
in our classroom. *coughs* I cannot perform well
though...'long time no practice' you know. However,
glad to give them a hand. That's why I was there,
listening them, and commenting afterwards: I do think
you guys do a good job. You will be doing even better
if you sing a little more emotionally...( heh it's
what I learned from the choir master before. ) Later
on they rushed into my office, and told me they got
the first prize! Woo I felt happy for them!! My girl
student and her friend left cheerfully after I gave
her a hug.

Talking about hugs...I gave our new principal a hug
in the office today. hehe no I cannot blog what
happened here, sort of, you know...private. My
colleague and me went shopping and I got some
strawberries--they were so nice and sweet! I feel
grateful...living in a fabulous place where people
can get so many delicious foods. I also feel grateful
that a friend bothered to help me with the pdf file.
I would try to transfer it to a word file, but didn't
know what to do. He told me about some way but I
gotta d/l something which is more than 80 MB...way
too troublesome for me. Thus I gave up. I didn't
expect that he transfered the file and emailed it to
me...*sobs* Thanks so much!

Beautiful full moon

I plan to watch some anime this evening...and TV
shows of course. It's freezing recently--real good to
have hot pots. But...being lazy, hehehe. It's also
wonderful to stay home and enjoy the snack and maybe
a hot chocolate. Oh yeah I gotta finish a novel whose
title is Cards On The Table by Agatha Christie. Been
reading it for a few days ( only when it's my break
time, otherwise I should have finished it in less
than 2 hours -_- ) Winter is just the right time for
reading and watching stuff I think, especially in the
evening when there's no special event. So...let's all
have fun whether indoor or outdoors.

Good for hot pots

Heh it's freezing these days since a coldfront's
been visiting us. Of course you guys might think
the temperature ain't that low, but don't forget
that we people in Taiwan don't have central
heating in most of our buildings. ( My friends in
Canada and America told me it's common to have
that in their houses. ) Anyway I don't mind the
cold--wear enough will do. My students in 9 years
were like :O "err teacher you wear so much
today..." after I walked slowly in the classroom.
LOL I think the light purple coat I put on today
looks like a fabulous blanket. :P

So you can imagine the best food for such weather
is hot pots--we call it shabu shabu here too. I
had quite a few since this winter started, guess I
have gained some weight...and it seems harder and
harder to keep fit in winter! *sighs* :P I
wouldn't give up this delicious meal though;
moreover, my good friend ( a math teacher ) will
go have hot pots with me for lunch tomorrow. We've
never been to the new restaurant near our school
together, so it'll be fun!

Still I don't have enough time for anime or movies
recently...not because of chatting too much
though. *winks* I got something more 'mysterious'
to deal with now hehehe. Thus...ah my break time's
up. *waves bye*

Ready to treat >:P

No good working on Sat!

Tomorrow's Saturday, and I still gotta
work...*sobs* since it's our poll day. Really
don't feel like working for it. Not that I have no
enthusiasm for voting; as a matter of fact
teachers at our school have served at such
occasions too many times. Just...at this moment we
teachers are doubted by some people in this
government that we seem to get so much money after
we retire. Thus, teachers are no more than leeches that
would lessen our country's wealth. *sighs* What the hell.
If officers in this gov said so, they shouldn't have asked
so many teachers here to help since they think we teachers
are selfish and get too much money. I really regret that
I promised to help on the poll day. I wouldn't like to give them
a hand next time when an election's coming.

A sore weekend

On Sunday I went have lunch at a restaurant and it's
crowded around 12:30 you know. There was a waiter who
looks tall and cute, but he wasn't serving me that
time ( no I didn't feel too bad ok. ) A while later
he approaced my table and lowered his body a bit,
said, 'do you teach at xx middle school?' I then
smiled...no wonder his face was familiar. He
graduated from the place I've been working! It's real
fabulous to see those kids become mature and do a
good job after they leave school. ( REAL TOO BAD he's
not the boss, otherwise maybe he could give me
discount or shout me...*sighs* )

Not enough free time

Been rainy and cold lately. Yah I know it's more
like the weather in winter! The only problem is
the bottom of my blue jeans gets wet easily while
walking in the rain. And I don't wear a mini skirt
( looks terrific with black panty hose, you know )
these days since I'm afraid to fall sick; it's
easy to catch a cold if we don't wear enough in
such weather! ( oh no my boy students are crying
hearing so...)

Glad to know DS came back this morning. It crashed
around a week ago...without knowing what caused
that. ( Of course I have no clue. If I did, you
guys could call me an expert then. ) Anyway I
don't have much time for blogging these days since
I chat too much. *winks* Hmm come to think of
this, seems I don't get enough time for anime or
movies either, not to mention some interesting
series! *sighs* Too bad I have only 24 hours a
day! How I wish I could have the magic watch
Hermione used at school--with it I could have
much more free time to enjoy what I wanna watch...
OK stop day dreaming!

The weekend's coming and good news is the weather
will be fine. Heh I will go out and have fun!

Nice lunch

Heh I attended a very boring meeting this afternoon,
which was held because of the coming poll day. There
was no school and students were so happy to leave
school at noon, just like when they were in
elementary school--no school for Wednesday afternoon.
So I didn't have lunch box, but went have a hotpot
with my colleague, another English teacher. It's good
to have hotpots in winter...especially it's the
other's treat. LOL~

Yesterday morning a student came over and gave me a
box of chocolate. I was so surprised...not Christmas
time yet, you know. I told the student not to give me
presents since I truly don't want anybody to waste
money. But...very nice of the kid, insisted that I
should take the chocolate and left happily.
Okay...maybe I'll think of another way to return the
favor some other day. *smiles*

Happy day

I went out to have veggie steak for lunch today. On my way home, a neighbor of mine came over and told me there was a parking space right on our alley. I didn't talk with this guy before, but I guess he knows me and my little car. Well I thanked him and took a look--there was one indeed. But the problem was a motorcycle had been parked there. Hehe the guy said he would move the motorcycle to somewhere else for me. *grateful* He said he's worried that my car might be towed away. *sobs* How nice my neighbor is! May the Lord bless him! ( and also bless the ones who give me a hand...)

Watched Kingdom of Heaven today. Hmm it's a good one although I ain't good at history...Maybe I have to ask some history teacher about the wars between christians and muslims.

Had a good laugh

Hah it's Friday again, and I'm waiting in the
office for the 8th class happily. After work I
will go have a hot pot for dinner. Hmm nothing
special really happened this week--teens are
naughty as usual but they still listen to me.
During the break time earlier today, also our
cleaning time in the afternoon, I went to the
classroom and watched them doing their work. My
boy student Frank was reading some jokes from the
Internet. I went over and took a look...then
laughed my head off. A gal student came over and
asked me how come I was laughing hard. I told her
not to read them since she's a Christian. You
known some ppl would make fun of such stuff,
especially not many taiwanese believe in God or
Jesus Christ. I'm afraid she might get irritated
by such jokes. Anyway...happy weekend!

So busy - 3

Watched Trinity Blood to ep. 24. Not quite sure about
the story's ending...I mean, I didn't understand why
Abel could revive? After the Dutch of Milan gave the
Gunslinger a sealed tube in which was some grey
liquid, and he took it to Abel's coffin and poured
the liquid around, Able brought to life again.
Turning into a more scary figure than usual, Abel
went fighting with Gain. Obviously the character's
names are from the Bible. By the way, I learned from
some site that the author of the original story
passed away before he could finish it. It's a
pity...the ending part of the story was made by
others then.

I'll find some free time to watch Yakitate Japan 43
later on. Hopefully this evening...I'm to go out
soon. The weather's sunny and warm today, a beautiful
Sunday. *big smile*

So busy - 2

Like what I used to say, 'I have nothing to complain...' although I feel a bit tired after work. OT for 3 sessions this week, heh I gotta make a good plan for the weekend then. A hot pot? A nice meal at the new open veggie restaurant? Hmm I have quite a few choices. Anyway I can't blog a lot since I am to doze off *yawns* Ahh will sleep tight pretty soon.

So busy

This is a real busy week...the very beginning of
November! We had a hot pot party on Mon afternoon in
our classroom. Students brought along so many
ingredients that they could hardly cooked them all.
Although I was there suffering ( terrible smell for a
vegetarian you can imagine -_- ), I tried my best to
keep a smiling face and took some pictures of them
with my digital camera. Gotta help with the cleaning
too, quite disgusting but no choice. School asks all
of us to do recycle, so it's necessary to sort them
into different categories. Teens here are usually
pampered; they are happy to eat, chat, and have fun
with peers for sure. They wouldn't like to take
responsibilities if it's studying or cleaning--that's
why we teachers exist. Thanks Goodness...if teen
agers were all intelligent and diligent I would
become jobless. *kidding* hehehe

Make good use of $

Canada

OK I have typed so many chinese characters. *sobs*
This pin yin input method is real good...the only
problem is I don't have many chances to practice
typing chinese. That's why I still can't master it (
maybe I am finding an excuse for myself again. )
Anyway, I had 3 sessions OT this week and the best
way to celebrate for the extra pay is go have hot
pots with friends. See I know how to make good use
of my money...( too bad my parents never think so. )

My ex classmate CJ rang me up around a week ago, and
said our friend, who I mentioned on another blog,
'WS'...I lent her 15000 NT, undertook a surgery
lately and stayed in a hospital not far away. She
told me WS also asked her and another friend of ours
for money. *sighs* What's wrong with my lovely
friend... She is not only good looking but diligent,
always being nice to people around her. How come
she's always drawn to lousy guys, who can bring her
nothing but doom! Her karma or what, I have no clue.
But I do hope she can get well soon and find the One
that is real good to her. ( in whispering mode: I
hope I can find one for myself too...*smiles* )

Taiwan's Retrocessing Day

School gave all the classrooms and offices this notice that asks us to pay attention to the very scary Avian Influenza (禽流感). However, we don't seem to have many cases here in Taiwan, but it's always better to keep safe. That's why I told students it's okay to bring along eggs and chicken for our hot pot party next Mon, but we gotta make them well-done. As a matter of fact I have neither eggs nor meat--only vegetarian meals I would get. But that doesn't mean I won't fall sick as others...still have to be careful.

Some friend paid me a short visit while I was having a break this morning, kind enough to give me a package of dried tofu ( vegetarian for sure. ) I had some in my office later...yummy! Then shared with my colleagues and some students later on when they had good performance in class.

Lucky me :D

How come time flies like this! *big smile* The weather in Taipei is turning cold ( finally ) but the leaves remain green as well ( different to those in Vancouver, my best friend ww told me. ) I pretty much enjoy autumn time...it's pleasant to take a walk on the street or in the park nearby. Sometimes I can see the beautiful moon in the sky--lucky since you guys know the air here is quite polluted.

It is a given that friends around are always kind enough to teach me something new and share with me interesting stuff. Some nice guy who knew I was slow in typing chinese characters sent me a new software: Natural Input Way. *grateful* He told me it could improve my speed to type chinese after some more practice--I believe so! The best is I found there's this 'pin yin' input method, which I learned about as I studied in NTNU. I didn't ask my prof for the software that time ( how regretful I am you know; it's all for free! ) Felt so surprised and happy to see the pin yin there! I don't need to stare at the keyboard hard trying to find the zhu yin I want anymore. Thanks so much my friend! ^_^

Happy people

As for myself, I have a good time watching Densha
Otoko, and Full Mental Panic the 2nd Raid. People
are always involved in some relationship and
that's why problems can't stop popping up. hehe
Maybe we human being are just too complicated?

The 1st periodical test's done

We had the first periodical test this week, and it
seems most students can't do well on their English
test. Hmm maybe I should be a bit harsh on kids?
*grins evilly* Shall I ask them to write more
homework...or just use a rod? Kidding ok.

I watched Densha Otoko to ep. 8 and these 2 couldn't
give up their relationship ( or more likely their
friendship? they didn't even kiss... ) easily even
they came from way too different backgrounds. I
wonder if I can be like the lady; it's not easy to
accept a guy who doesn't look like a match for me.
*chuckles* yah I know I am picky, as opposed to just
settle and go date with wrong types. Heh life is
short. Never waste time like this then.

Also watched Full Mental Panic the Second Raid to
ep.9--sadly they are separated and the girl's in
danger without her bodyguard being around protecting
her. She bursted into tears in the end while sitting
on the roof finding she's been all alone to fight
with enemies. Poor baby...gotta be more strong-
minded herself. No idea if I have time for movies
today...always busy on Sundays. Ah well.

Don't you come back

Tired after a long weekend

Back to work after a long weekend. Most of us seem tired...students were dozing off in class, and one colleague looked pale because she caught a cold. As for me...under great stress ( a bit exaggerating I admit ) you know the first periodical test is coming! I hope my kids can do well for sure...that's why I felt today's tiring even though I have only 4 sessions.

Good news is I can watch Densha Otoko 6 soon. Heh it's enticing...no wonder even students read or watch it ( I happened to find they brought the novel to school. ) *grins evilly* Of course one more reader in this world then. By the way, I am grateful to say some friends of mine are so kind-hearted. They often inform me about nice anime and movies; moreover, a friend allows me to d/l stuff directly from his HD. *sobs* I think I should do something to return the favor after all...But I'm not that useful when it comes to computers--cannot give them a hand there. Ah...thank you very much, my good friends. *big smiles*

Harry Potter & Densha Otoko

Today is a happy day, altho it's windy and rainy. I enjoy taking a walk but didn't do so today because the weather's not good enough. Instead I stayed indoors and finished reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It's interesting...too bad my british friend R announced he wouldn't read Harry Potter anymore since he thought it's way too commercialized. *shrugs* I don't really mind...what ppl do these days is more or less commercialized ain't it. Even when we look for the One, we are informed in advance s/he had better match our background well in the first beginning. Otherwise parents may object strongly. Isn't that another kind of commercialism?

Talking about backgrounds, I also finished watching Densha Otoko ep. 5 this evening. Their backgrounds seem quite different--not perfect match at all! But who knows? Maybe they will be a couple in the end? I didn't surf for the plot of this story--don't wanna spoil the fun watching it bit by bit. *grins* Maybe ends up he dates with the nasty slut? Aww that will be fun too.

Call it a busy week

Densha Otoko,

He's hungry

This morning I bought an extra spring roll for snack on my way to school. Ended up I was too full to finish it during my break. My boy student Gary came up to me and asked 'teacher do you have cookies I am hungry!' Erm just fine then. No free lunch right. Told him, 'sure I can give you the spring roll but you gotta call me mom.' In a sec he said, 'mom' and happily proceeded to my office to get the spring roll.

Moral for this event: guys know how to sweet talk while you have what they want. :P

The 3rd strong typhoon

Heh it's Sun but I got waken very early by the big noise from
outside. How come? Oh Typhoon Longwang *chortling* is visiting
Taiwan! Aww I cannot go out today I guess. Lucky got the Net.
^^ I then came online and chatted merrily with some friend via
skype. MSN has been having some trouble lately, keeping disc me
from time to time. And this became more serious for today--
maybe it's because of the typhoon? Or the version 7.5 ain't
stable enough? Who knows. I have more than one way to chat with
friends.

In addition to chatting, I watched some anime. Both are
fun...Bleach 50 is a bit 'nutty', got neither serious fighting
scenes nor gorgeous and invicible death gods. Honey & Clover 21
is as good as the other epispodes, and the term 'soul-searching
trip' inspired me again, made me think of the time I went
travelling alone. It's fabulous, when I was totally alone, all
by myself, and the feeling that I myself is the best friend of
mine. Guess the others can't understand what I am talking about
... *chuckling* Never mind. It's my monologue.

So...here I am. I found the lyrics for another good song I
listened to today:

My favorite line is 我想放棄 就算是不可以...Well I really would
like to give up some stuff in my life but they ain't supposed
to be given up by me at all. Even I think bright, even I never
give up...sometimes I just wanna let go. hehehe ok enough let
me stop right here. Gotta enjoy this typhoon day some more.

Fell sick

No idea why I fell sick like this...took a medical
leave yesterday! It's Fri and I was supposed to
enjoy it since I only have 4 sessions to teach. But
after the 1st class I started to feel weak, having a
headache and a stomachache. At first I thought I'd
be fine again, just to take a rest at my desk during
break time. But still felt bad and it seemed the
world's turning around in my head. Finally the
decision was made--my colleagues would take over my
duty and I drove home to rest asap. ( *sobs* my turn
to pay for others' teaching )

Also got a fever, but no sneezing or sore throat.
Weird...blame it to the troublesome activity on
Teacher's Day! I had 6 sessions and school asked all
the teachers and students to come for a school
meeting in the afternoon, bathing in the great
sunlight ( over 35 C. ) The purpose? Sure, for the
celebration of Teacher's Day! It's just stupid and
torturous. Who would concentrate on the
'performance' if the sun is so shining and burning?
We sweated like hell and the school court was like
the hell really. Terrible experience...I told others
I didn't enjoy such after it's over. Altho it's to
celebrate Teacher's Day, altho some students were so
sweet to give me cards and gifts ( I never asked
them to and I told them I got my salary
already...there's no need to give me stuff. )

Anyway, I feel a bit better today. It said a typhoon
Longwang is coming. While chatting on an American
channel, my friend told me he knew there will be a
typhoon in TW and found its name amusing. I said yah
I found some typhoons' names are funny. Then he
private messaged me--'wang' is a slang word for
penis. What the... LOL no wonder he found it
amusing! Oh no many people here have their surname
Wang. :P Ain't it fun when their English name's
read by Americans if they go to the states?

Not true

I kind of 'yelled at' my students this early
morning in class. They wouldn't like to take the
responsibility for preparing something important;
furthermore they didn't behave and upset their
Chinese teacher yesterday. That made me mad and
sure they must get punishment for that. Weird I
watched the news and it said my horoscope is very
lucky today, both in 'love' and 'business'. Hmm
thus, here's the motto: seeing is NOT ALWAYS
believing.

Stressful?

Well, I am really under lots of pressure? Somehow I just can't believe it, since people around think ( and so do I ) I am a optimistist always. I don't have a serious relationship at this moment--no guy brings me any trouble now. Hmm it's work then? Been busy working since this school term started--my grade 9 students will have CBT ( 基本學測 ) next year. Certainly I keep them companly and do my best to instruct them, but I haven't felt stressed before. *chuckles* no good to think too much, anyway.

What a dream

Had a weird dream...I didn't know who that guy was. He's there while I was doing shopping in somewhere like a big supermarket. He approached and I didn't feel comfortable; thus, I was trying to avoid seeing him. But he wouldn't give up coming near. Even after I left that supermarket, I was walking down some dark alley, feeling both upset and scared. Why he couldn't just leave me alone? What did he want? Moreover I saw my ex walking in front of me on the same street a while later, as I still tried to get rid of that stalking guy. I could hear him talking. Certainly he was not someone I would like to see ( even it's in my dream :P ) so I walked a bit faster to pass over. Unfortunately it ended up he was following me. I felt...darn how come they acted like that. Woke up confused. I didn't think of my exs at all once we broke up. He shouldn't have come into my dream. :P

Moon Festival

Ah...lousy we gotta work today. I remember we wouldn't go to school or work on Mon if the national holiday was on Sun. Since when it's changed? *sighs* No idea if my foreign friends have the same situation. They don't work on the weekend either, and apparently they have more holidays than us--Easter, Christmas, and so on. I don't think we have a longer one except the Lunar New Year ( around 1 week that's it. ) Heh I complained enough I guess.

Talking about this Moon Festival, we had a guest from UK. He likes TW so much that he's to get PR, wouldn't go back to his country in the future. No need to say his ideal wife will be a Taiwanese--of course not my business. I never think I should do anything for my male friends when it comes to dating or marriage--guys are smart. They know what they want precisely. *chuckles* Girls never have to worry about guys because they can take care of themselves very well, even better than us gals!

Thus I didn't plan to meet this British friend R after he informed me he's already here in Taipei. But he told me in another email he brought my family some little gifts from UK. O...K...we wouldn't owe others favor. That's why he's invited to our place and had a big dinner, moon cakes, and I did have a good time listening to a beautiful English accent. The best is he's pretty interested in teaching English--guess I can ask any questions about vocabulary and grammar of him from now on. ( As a matter of fact I don't have many questions to ask.hehehe :P )

Hot and heaty!

Can practice English more

One colleague took leave and I gotta take over her duty for a week. I went lecture in that class for 3 classes so far...and their homeroom teacher told me, 'my class wish you could go on teaching them...they said you're easy going and teach well.' :D So happy to hear that.

It's still hot these days, and my friend from UK moved to Taipei lately. I pretty much enjoy listening to his british English, not as 'heavy' as those on TV or movies, but a pleasant light accent. I guess I will have chances to speak English IRL from now on. hehe :P

A hot and sleepy day

Been sleepy all day...even a boy student asked me in
class 'teacher are you in a bad mood?' Hah I guess I look
real serious when there's no smile on my face. ( But I
can't keep smiling all the time, you know...that's silly.
)
Some events for today. A boy in the class next to mine
got hurt. He's that kind of person who's being pampered
by his parents too much to know in fact he is annoying to
others. He didn't behave in class and finally a gal,
who's his classmate and sat near him, couldn't stand his
noise and bothering anymore, went cut his arm with a
knife. So the boy ran to the teacher's office and asked
for help. He's soon sent to the school clinic. The gal
felt very angry while she's being asked by her teacher:
'how come you cut your classmate like this?' She roared,
'why can't I? he keeps bothering me!!' Shouting and
crying in our office you can imagine the chaos that time.

As for my class, I ordered chocolate shattered ice (巧克
力冰沙) for students, planned to let them enjoy it after
their PE class this afternoon. Woo how nice you can have
something cold after outdoor activities under a burning
sun. It's almost the time to go get the ice...the boss
rang me and informed me their machine was broken. No
shattered ice but juice. -_- I had no choice but change
it to passion fruit juice--told the boss to add more ice
cubes for us. Lucky students didn't complained ( maybe
they dare not? ) to me.

Guess I should leave early tonight. My eyes are so tired.

Graduation trip

This week we didn't concentrate on studies for sure--who
would when it's time for the graduation trip. Think about
it! 3 days 2 nights with dear classmates in the middle of
Taiwan, visiting some famous scenic spots during the day,
playing games or cards in the hotel room with mates.
Ain't it terrific for a 15-yr-old boy/gal. Me? oh well I
am NOT a student but I pretty much enjoy travelling no
matter when I go with a tour or alone. ( plan to visit
Korea next break...not confirmed though hehe )

Our tour guide was Panda ( his nick of course, I know
about his real name but he said 'you can call me Panda'
well I didn't mind indeed ) and he's there to help me
take care of my students for 3 days. Tall and tan, this
tall young guy majors in cooking, and he always talks in
a gentle tone. Not like me, the 'fierce' homeroom teacher
would yell at them once in a while. *grins evilly* So we
got on the bus and headed off to Janfusun Fancyworld in
Yunlin county. They have many facilities you can see in
most playgrounds, so I don't bother to intro them one by
one ( you can always check online.) Some differences I
could tell...they didn't have the Coffee and Tea museums
last time as I paid a visit. So I entered both to see the
exhibition--friends you know I am into tea and coffee;
they even shouted us teachers coffee in the evening. I
had a orange-fragrant hot coffee. To my surprise, later
on when we were in the Janfusun Prince Hotel I could
still fall asleep well at night. Maybe walked a lot in
the afternoon, watched a show ( a circus from Russia )in
the evening and eventually felt tired enough.

The next morning we proceeded to the well-known place Sun
Moon Lake and most students went pray for good luck--they
will take CBT next May to enter their ideal senior high
schools. I prayed with them...truly hope their dreams can
come true. ( Weird...come to think of it I didn't even
get a thought to pray for myself at the moment! ) Then we
left for another famous playground--Formosan Aboriginal
Culture Village, located in Nantou county. Needless to
say they got good sights and attractions; moreover they
have a great stuff--cable cars. I remember the last time
I took a cable car was when I was in Syd. And this time
it's the same fun--enjoyed the view from high above with
my 3 colleagues. I had my second coffee again ( and once
again fell asleep nicely at midnight. hah )

We had a party after dinner; some students went perform
on the stage ( every class had to 'push' a few
representatives there as a matter of fact. ) When it's
going to end all students stood up and started to dance.
Panda took my hand and pulled me up to the stage--ended
up I gotta take more exercise even when I thought I did
get enough from earlier the day. ( Why teachers can keep
fit easily can you see now ) Oh there's an event which I
didn't expect after I took a bath though. Got a boy
student's call and reported to me one boy from the next
room climbed over the fence to their balcony and
something's wrong with their window. My students were
told by me they gotta pay for what's broken in the hotel
room. It's late but I gotta call the other homeroom
teacher and Panda to take a look. Well that naughty boy
who climbed over and caused the trouble didn't admit at
first. Sure most ppl would defend themselves no matter
what. Being tired I just said without looking at the
'suspect', 'ok then big hotels like this one always have
cams installed to maintain their safety let's just get
the tape and the evidence will talk.' In a few secs time
he said 'yah it's me.'

The boy who called was praised by me later on in class
since it's correct to ask for help right away. Otherwise
they might have got into big trouble. Anyway, the third
day our destination was for more knowledge--National
Museum of Natural Science in Taichung. My 'detour' to get
quite a few boxes of Sun cakes, 'wife' cakes and
'husband' cakes made this trip a perfect ending. :P

Why we like slow songs more

Saw something funny this early morning as I went out to get
traditional Chinese breakfast ( shao bing and such you know
.) A guy wearing shorts rode a bike ( not funny I know )
and I found something's wrong with him but why. After I
took a careful look I found he wore a pair of socks ( not
funny again I know ); one's white and the other's light
orange. Ah...guys don't mind their looks like we women I
guess. :D
Don't ask me how come he wore like this I didn't get the
nerve to run after him and ask! :P
My sis didn't feel well today...she asked me to d/l some
nice slow songs for her mp3 player. Of course I'm glad to
help. And I told her why we enjoy slow songs better now,
since the 'tempo' of our life in TW is very fast. We seldom
feel bored or got nothing to kill time at night--very noisy
on the street even it's midnight at many places in Taipei.
That's why I had to turn my friend in the states down while
he's offering his metal ones via DCC. *chuckles* different
life styles count.

Here comes the policeman!

Heh...Friday

Listening to an interesting song:

鐵竹堂-能不能

作詞:王威登 作曲:林邁可 女聲:溫嵐 Landy

Landy:

Landy:

Landy:

Jason:

Jason:

Not bad the guy finally found she's the one who's been
around. I am not anyhow in a serious relationship at this
moment in my life. Guess I'm too busy...work's becoming
hectic, and will need to lecture more in the near future.
*sighs with a smile* Well yeah I know it's tiring but it
also means more pay. That's why I went to the department of
studies complaining to our grade coordinator about my lousy
schedule for this new semester; later on the assistant
comforted me like 'oh but we let you have more classes...'
I then made the gesture of 'close the mouth' by crossing
both my index fingers in front. My boss, the director of
studies, laughed and said 'how come you're that easy to be
pacified!' I just don't wanna argue over something that
cannot be changed much...whether it's about work, or other
stuff. It's useless to lament for what I can never work
out--no point to waste my time then.
Talking about typhoons, Talim's gone, and a new strong one
Nabi is approaching. Hmm a window fell off and got broken
because of the last one. No idea what damage the new one
will cause here. *prays* Hope everything's fine...and my ex
classmate WS can move to her new place this Sun. I don't
wanna keep ringing her and asking her what's going on. She
would need some space I guess. After I blogged about the
event that she came to me with her bf and she asked me to
lend her money, a friend bothered to reply me with his
point of view and then advised me not to regret for the
money gone. *feels grateful* Indeed I work hard for money,
always wanna save up more and live a comfortable life (
doesn't mean it's necessary to buy lots of brand name
products ) and I convince myself I will be happy and rich
even if I might be single for the rest of my life. That
friend doesn't need to worry about me, since I always think
bright in bad situations. *chuckles* However...thanks for
your care, my friend from this cyber world. :)
I watched Tsabasa Chronicle ep.1 and got :O as I found
the main characters are just the same in an old anime I watched
a few years ago. The OP song's great! :D

Typhoon day, blogging day

Aug 28
It's Sunday...school starts next week...and I didn't do
anything important today. My schedule would keep unknown
until I go for meetings tomorrow, and somehow I don't mind
how many classes I will have the coming semester. If I have
more classes I will earn more money. If less classes it'll
be relaxing and I can read more stuff, chat more... :P No
matter what I hope time flies, and my adventure will go on.

Aug 29
Sighs what a schedule for me. most of my sessions are
arranged in the afternoon. Guess I'll have to do everything
to catch students attention...or maybe wear better. *winks*
Had long meetings today, learned our new principal is both
smart and kind-hearted while she's talking to us. I'm so
glad those mean, kinky, and stupid male bosses left this
school one by one. *big smile* From now on I can work
better and more happily without worrying about those mid-
aged ( or shall I say old ) guys' intention to take
advantage of me. My good friend, the math teacher Xu, is a
homeroom teacher in grade 7; another good friend who is a
math teacher too Chen, is a subject teacher and she's going
to be a mom in Dec. :D Both Xu and me told her we will go
food shopping during our break time and just order whatever
she would like to eat--we'll run for her! :P

Aug 31
Well...it's good or bad. This afternoon I didn't work at
school. Slacking off? Of course...NOT. We got the notice
during the 4th class this morning that there would be no
class since the strong typhoon Talim's approaching Taiwan.
As soon as it's announced all students shouted with glee! I
must admit I am not a glutton for work; thus, I let all
students pack their stuff ( including their lunch boxes--
they had to go home before they ate lunch then ) and
dismisses the class. I drove home, found a good parking
space ( lucky! ) and saw my mom sitting on the couch in the
living room eating lunch. She didn't expect to see me at
noon but I didn't mind--bought my lunch box already.
These 2 days I didn't see Sam at school much. To be exact
he's not been in class lately, but wandering on campus all
day, and finally got caught by my colleagues who are
responsible for those kids that cannot behave. His dad
talked to me on the phone and even paid me a visit at
school. But the problem isn't solved. Sam's mother left
when he's still a baby--she's too young to be a wife and
mom. It was his auntie ( younger sis of his dad's ) who
brought him up. Some kids in this situation would work
harder to make up what they already lost and have great
accomplishments. But others might go astray even when ppl
around him, family, relatives, friends, classmates...care
for him. I don't know. I only know they need love...a lot
of love, to fill in the hole of their hearts, where
emptiness has been existing ages ago.

Sep 1
Typhoon's gone; so is my money. @_@ How come you must be
asking? Maybe...this woman still went out shopping on a
typhoon day? or went KTV with friends since there's no work
today? no no no no no! Let me tell ya what happened...
This early morning ( by 'early' I mean before 8 a.m. ) my
telphone rang. Okay...I got up and answered it. My ex
classmate WS, the one I mentioned on my blog before, told
me she was to rent an unit but didn't have enough money.
She needed to pay for 7500 NT a month for the unit, and
furthermore 15000 NT for the cash pledge. As a matter of
fact I have debts to pay off, but WS sounded very sorrow--I
really have no idea what her bf, the taxi driver, is for!

If I have difficulties ( I did have some ) I would ask my
family members first, or my bf ( if I have one ) to give me
a hand. If a bf cannot help when I get into trouble, I am
sure he's useless when we are in some troublesome situation
later on in our marriage. Very well...I don't know about
WS's bf enough, and I already dislike him enough.
I talked about this event with my best friend in Vancouver ww,
and both of us felt it icky. I never enjoy being in danger ( who does? )
but I walked in strong wind and rain for I promised to transfer
15000 NT to her account via ATM. Wonder if I can get my money back...
call me too kind-hearted, call me 'baka'... -_-

Where to stay

Got my ex classmate's call. She seemed in a bad mood and asked
me if she could come over. Of course I welcomed her. Ended up
she came with her bf, who I met for the very first time. He's a
taxi driver, very tan and looked worried. We sat at the table,
having some green tea I prepared, and then I learned their
story. My classmate WS dated her bf J, who's going through a
divorce with his Chinese wife, after she broke up with her ex.
By 'Chinese' here I meant his wife is a mainlander. His wife
left him and their kid for China a few years ago--can't imagine
a mom can leave young kids like this you know. But the thing is
WS needs to find a place to stay because she left Taichung
where her ex stays for Taipei to work. Her current bf helped
move her stuff and would like her to stay at his place. That's
why WS came ask for my advice; she's under great pressure from
family and her relationships and couldn't see things through
right now. Lucky we always have a saying: Outsiders can figure
out more easily. Sure I told her what I thought: you're my good
old friend. The only thing I will do is give you my moral
support no matter what guy you wanna be with. However,it's
wrong to stay in your bf's house since he doesn't get divorced
yet. You can stay with me for a few days like my shijie did
last month. While her bf went to the restroom she asked me
again: you don't think it's good to stay in his place? I told
her no. Being such an old friend of hers, I just cannot agree
with such ideas. Call me prudence, I don't mind. I even told
another friend lately...I wouldn't be a good close friend with
a guy who's taken. Not to mention flirt to him. There are so
many single guys out there--why and what is the point to hang
out with a taken man?? Maybe that's why all my female friends
like me, even when their husbands say they wanna shout me
coffee and such. I never talk much with others' bfs or
husbands--wu liao if you ask me why. Anyway the item left my
place for dinner. I hope my friend can make a wise decision.

Fin for my summber break 2005

Today is the last day of this summer break. Of course gotta
do something special right. ( As a matter of fact what I
did for today ain't anyhow special...) Went to Guanghua
Bazaar and bought some stuff. Had a nice buffet with my sis
( her treat since she earned too much last month.)

These days I watched some anime as usual. SHUFFLE and He is
My Master are both...weird. Sure I know we can't take what
happened in anime seriously, more or less the plot appeared
icky to me in these two. He is My Master would me more
'reasonable' if you asked me. A horny young rich lonely boy
encountered 2 teen gals who ran away from home. What could
ever happen then? :P SHUFFLE in some way is like another
anime I watched before, Air. There's the only male
character, a middle school boy, who's liked by all the
other gals around him. ( I'm sure all my male friends envy
his good luck. ) And the gal could still keep smiling and
get along with him even when he said he looked forward to
tasting the food other gals would make for him. -_- What
the...there's only one fish on earth or what. If my man
said so to me, I'd be happy to let him go. He can leave
anytime happily for any other gal. :D Just remember one
thing--don't ever get a thought to come back to me when he
thinks others are not that good. ( That's why my exs would
find it hard to see or talk to me again once they made such
a decision. :P ) I think such gals are either too lonely or
too desperate, otherwise they really can open up and make
many friends in other fields.

However I ain't sure if I would finish watching such
anime...the plot that goes on like this isn't a big catch
to me. -_-

I can't leave him; neither can I make him stay...

Downloaded a nice song today...it's
Here is the lyrics:

REPEAT*

Some friend taught me to play with google earth, but I was really bad at finding the location. -_- I guess he went offline with frustration...*sobs* Being nervous I did try hard to search on it, even after he's gone I kept finding for an hour. And now I'm worn out; my index finger hurts. @_@ *sighs* I truly have to find a good and savvy guy in the future...if I want a husband. ( Isn't it sad that both parties are dumb for a couple. ) :P

Back to blog!

Okay 2 days to go--my summer break is going end. Pretty
much enjoying these relaxing ( sometimes a little busy )
days...I haven't blogged for the past 2 months. *smiles* So
many things happened and I really feel happy for not seeing
any mushy sms lately. How come? Martin has given up sending
those meaningless stuff to me already? To tell the truth I
am not sure. I only know I switched off my degree 3 cell
phone by Chinese Lovers Day. LOL~ That day is meaningless
to me also--so sorry that I am still living a single
life... :D

Before summer school started I went travelling in Japan,
and the latest album 'Trip 2 Tokyo' has been shown online
for both net and IRL friends. Most listened to my complaint
about the lousy tour guide, who only cared about selling
medicine and packs of dried abalones to us. The worst he
did to me was he gave me the key to the hotel room I had to
stay for 2 nights: #414. Didn't he know we Taiwanese used
to avoid such unlucky numbers. How nasty and inconsiderate
that guy was. Fortunately I always believe the Lord will
take good care of His kids, so it's real pleasant to stay
in that #414 room. I even asked the hotel staff to get me a
modem then I could come online with my panel NB. Of course
it's not for free--1050 yen for 2 days, not expensive
comparing to the expenses I afforded for other items there.

I had a haircut today, lots of hair cut off...we Taiwanese
have this superstition: if your hair touches your waist,
you'll have to be careful, not to have a haircut until you
find a special date for it ( can check our lunar calendar.
) The thing is my hair was almost to the limit and that
would be troublesome for me to check stuff like this.
So...will take pics soon. Not much difference I hope. :P Oh
yeah someone left me a long comment on my last blog in fact
it's impolite to do something like that. I hope friends you
don't do that. Please have good manners. Thanks.

Encountered him twice

A tiring day really! We did so much work and moved to a new
place--all students worked real hard! Ended up my buying
them cold drinks ( bing1 sha1 is the chinese term ) and
iced green tea. *sobs for money's flying away from my
wallet...* They said black tea would be better, so I guess
I'd order what they like next time. :D After students were
gone I suddenly remember there's no cable for my notebook
in the new office. Then went downstairs to my old office on
the 2nd floor to get my cable back. Didn't expect to see
him, a substitute teacher who's been teaching here this
semester, since his office is on the third floor. He's
using the puter where my cable was right in the IP share
nearby. So I came near and tried to get it without
disturbing his keying in marks for students. But he got up
and gave me a hand...so we were near each other. He gave me
the cable after he got it, and I said 'thank you, teacher (
his name)' Funny to see he got so surprised and said, 'how
come you know my name? I didn't even teach your class.' I
just smiled and left. :P His name was shown above on the
monitor... *grins* :P

Later on I went to the office on the third floor this
afternoon to find my partner who's doing the same lesson
plan. We had to finish some copy and paste and our leader
asked us to turn in the floppy tomorrow. He's back to his
office already. And I felt lucky that he's there since we
had some problem using Word. hehehe my partner called him
to help us with it. She even asked him how old he is...said
she might intro him gals. :P I just sat there and watched
him fixing our stuff. Well...had a small talk and knew he's
leaving for another school. Anyway he's a bit younger than
me, so...period. :)

It's around a year I guess...to keep blogging here. Just
like what I mentioned earlier, no beginning then no ending.
Vice versa, there must be an ending if there's a beginning.
I think it is the time. Last summer break, a semester,
winter break, another semester, and now this summer break.
Time flies ain't it! :D My best friend is living a new
life in another country, and I am to have a vacation in
another country too. Life is lessons to take, truly, and
each day for me...is a brand new world! Enjoy it... ciao
ciao~

Lesson plans

As usual when a semester is to end, it's time to do the
lesson plans. And this time I work with 2 other colleagues,
who are experieced as well and more diligent than me. :P
Our leader told us the part we got to finish before July
1st, and the rest is our typing it out. After dinner I
started to work on the not-difficult-but-time-consuming
plan. :P Lucky I finished it by 10 p.m. otherwise I would
be mumbling for my lack of sleeping hours. Why didn't I
start earlier while no school this afternoon?? Because...I
went hang out with some friends, had lunch in a Italian
restaurant ( vegetarian of course ) in the mountains ( on a
hill more likely...) Hah the same place I had lunch once
with a mushy guy last year--bleh he's still sending
'creepy' stuff and we all wondered when he will truly give
up. :P

Final exam

School asked me to watch them study and do the test for the
first 2 sessions. Then I had some time spare for keying in
the evaluation of students' performaces. Since we are to
move to new classrooms and offices, I asked in advance if
some volunteer to help me with moving stuff. Needless to
say...*big smile* ^_^
I have to remember 2 things tho--bring enough big plastic
bags to school for the moving, and clean my future desk and
shelfs before students put stuff on. Hmm, will be a tiring
day.

The last lecture for this semester

Yah :D finally it's the last day I had to lecture in class!
Students complained to me that they didn't want school to
start at the very beginning of this semester in Feb...and I
comforted them by saying, 'well...but if no beginning, no
ending...then you guys won't have summer break!' They soon
understood it's a must. LOL~ So much fun getting along with
these grade 8 kids. :P

Nice manga

Read some manga today--a good way to spend a relaxing Saturday ain't it. :D Loveless, The Mythical Detective Loki Rangarok, and Dan Detective School! I always enjoy reading this kind of story, partly suspicious and exciting, and partly romantic ( a lit bit will do...most of the time they are not tho. )

He's spitting

My colleague asked me to take over her duty since she had to go for another important task at school. Of course I would give a hand ( extra pay heh ) and then I was in that classroom. A boy kept on sipping some water from a bottle and then I saw him spitting it on the floor. He just looked like one of the delinguents here. But I wasn't to keep silent. :P I told him to stop since it's dirty...and disgusting. Well he then stopped. Maybe those naughty students need more love and care, you know...somehow I think that's the reason they would do something nutty in order to catch our eye. I do hope those who are to give birth can take the responsibility well and give enough love to their offsprings. Love from a teacher is wonderful...but not fullfilling enough. :)

Time for a new life

WW called me in the evening, and I knew her flight to Vancouver was midnight. I asked her, 'happy right?' She answered 'yeah happy!' LOL~ That is my good friend, pretty much the same style as me. It's a high tech era, and I don't think it's a prob for us to keep contact with each other. :P She even used Sky.. to call me ( it's much cheaper to call international this way she said. :D ) And I wish her good luck ( she always has it ^^ ) and have a brand new fabulous life in a new country. ( And, please don't work hard for settling me down there ok I love Taipei. :P )

Met WW beforehand

Yeah like most Chinese would do--in a restaurant again. But this time something 'funny' happened. :P After we stood up and prepared to leave, the woman who sat at the table near us said, 'hey beauty...you didn't finish your food.' Well one friend didn't eat up her food truly. Sometimes we would be in this situation especially when it's buffet. You saw a new dish, kind of strange food but you wanna give it a go so you put a small amount of it on your plate. After you had a taste and found it's awful...you'd just leave it there, wouldn't torture your stomach right? Well...there were so many other customers at many other tables in the restaurant. I just didn't understand why the woman only paid attention on our food. But we were about to leave...but the woman wouldn't stop! She went, 'hey beauty...you didn't finish your tea.' ( This time she referred to me--I didn't drink up the glass of tea. -_- ) and, 'the food in this restaurant are very natural and healthy. Would you please eat them up and drink it up next time you come here?' Errr...my friend and I said 'oh ok' and then left. I still don't understand now--why that woman only paid so much attention on WW and me? while there were many ppl around... :P

Marketing--got no talent for

Couldn't sleep in on Sat; anyway it's NOT uncommon. This time you can
say 'Flo is such a diligent person' since I went for a course that was
about marketing with my best friend WW. Our field's education...how
come we would go study marketing you might wonder. The reason is WW
will move to Vancouver soon, and she can't work as a homeroom teacher
in a middle school there. So she might become a business woman in the
future. It's boring to study in class with bunches of strangers
right...Therefore she asked me to study with her for quite a few hours.
Lucky they prepared a veggie lunch box for me. Woo :P

Ended up having no idea what marketing is tho... -_- Not our fault.
Must be the lecturers didn't look handsome enough. :P ( See how good I
am to find some excuse! ) We decided to leave earlier and went to the
big department store nearby to look around. *chuckles* you guys know
it's never boring while shopping with the right person--we talked and
laughed, made lots of comments meanwhile. Later on we had some snack at their B1, where you can see many stalls selling different kinds of yummy stuff. I know the 2 guys sitting the next door were interested in us...they couldn't stop looking at us from time to time, and talked in
a way which tended to catch our attention. :P Sounded like working out is a trend eh. LOL~ Toooooooo bad! WW's taken ( how lucky that Canadian guy is! ) and I am too lazy to get involved in a serious relationship at this moment. *bats my eyes...* My dear Mr. Right...you'll have to come over and work hard to make me fall for you then. :P

Gathering at Spring

A busy Fri indeed...I had an important appointment in the morning, and
then met friends at noon. Usually we Chinese like our gathering in
either restaurants or cafes. :P That's why we sat at a table eating
fabulous vegetarian buffet in Spring Veggie Restaurant. :D~ altho it's
a bit expensive... After that I went get the passport, then proceeded
to Taipei Main Station and found some clerks there to make my Japanese
trip next month confirmed...then came back to school and had the very
happy 8th class ( for extra pay. ) *big smile* In the evening a friend
paid me a visit. He's introduced to me by ww and came to give me a hand
since something wrong with my puters. Too bad the old pc in the living
still couldn't work, and I told him it's ok if he couldn't fix it.
*yawns...* I'm very tired. And I'll have a busy Sat...@_@ Awww

Goodbye grade 9 students

Graduation day is tomorrow. I had the last class in grade 9...This boy
student Jason came over to me...he's a good student. Not only does well
on his English test, but can play the piano ( I always have a liking to
such students :P maybe it's because I can play a little as well. )
Anyway he came, I thought he's going to say something sentimental like,
teacher...thanks for your teaching for the past 1 year, and I will miss
you after I graduate... *coughs* I was wrong. He went, 'teacher your
figure's so good...' -_- didn't know what to reply then, neither
touching nor meaningful. LOL~ ok ok...don't pick on students who are to
leave. Congrutulations you guys!

Some collection

My collections are sitting beautifully on the desk in the study room. I feel peaceful every time I look at them...What you see is part of my crystal collections. Posted by Hello

Magic power...not :P

I was holding 2 stones--a green crystal ball on my right hand and a yellow on my left. It said green ones are good for business while yellow ones are for pian cai like lottery. Urm... How come I am still so poor then? Tell me please my precious stones... :P Posted by Hello

Movie Club the last time

I told students to relax and enjoy their last time movie club, since
there will be no pleasant sessions on Wed afternoon no more. This
semester's going to end and they'll be in grade 9, which means they
have to pay all their attention to their CBT. Got to study more then,
poor kids. So it's Sharks Tale, and we watched a fish that pretty much
looked like Will Smith, hey his voice's exactly the same as Will
Smith's...singing and dancing. LOL~

Crystal purchasing

My best friend ww wanna buy some more crystals since she's leaving for
Vancouver. Previously she asked me to go to my shi jei's place and
choose some for her. Later on she decided to come visit me and we could
go together. ( She likes me too much I guess LOL~ ) Thus we were
sitting there in the shi jei's living room, enjoying looking at those
beautiful crystals on the table. I bought some too...couldn't resist
the stones' charm. :P Maybe I'll take a pic and share with you on here
later.

Farewell party at school

No meeting for ETs at my school this afternoon; instead we had a
farewell party for those who are leaving us. Yeah they are not to
retire since they're still very young, but they are substitute
teachers. Our leader said sorry to me a few times since she saw most of
the dishes prepared were not vegetarian--I could only have fried
noodles, fried mifen, and a little fruit. :P Well I don't mind. Maybe
that's why I can always keep fit ( 170 cm, 58 or less kg now. :D )

Wet wet...

Quite a suspective topic, no? :P Too bad nothing interesting. :D It's the first day we had our 90 NT lunch, and the guy didn't put those containers well and there was some soup leaking in the big plastic bag. That's why I had to use some tissues to get rid of the wetness before I brought them to my colleagues. *sighs* ok I must say they are lucky since my service is for free--no commission's been asked ever since. *sobs* :P

It's pretty hot today again, but I don't mind. The classrooms I stay in have no air con. hehehe got used to it of course. Last night while chatting on IRC a nice American friend sent me her pic during her vacation. She's there visiting her bf ( they knew each other via IRC ) and now they are an item. woo~ really broke my 'LD relationship wouldn't work' rule. LOL~ I feel happy for the love birds and I hope friends who are looking for true love online can have the same good luck in this cyber world! :D

Now it's higher class

I had to go to the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during my break this morning, so a colleague of mine took the job ordering veggie lunch boxes for us. Like what I've said--we got to have high class lunch from now on. *sobs* ( not that we wanna but...) It's 80 NT each now, from another veggie cafeteria in the neighborhood. We teachers are too lazy to walk out of the school sometimes, you know. It's a given that many restaurants here in Taipei are willing to deliver the food you order to where you are ( if not too far away of course. ) Hmm more rice and more vegetables in the paper container, and they taste great! :D I told my colleagues we'll have the 90 NT class lunch tomorrow. :P Woo they are looking forward to spending more money...NOT. LOL~ Too bad they have no choice if they'd like to eat the same with me. :P

Tuesday, June 07, 2005

What a pity

The boss of the vegetarian cafeteria noticed me that he would put it to an end to deliver lunch boxes to his cutomers from June 8th onwards. It means I cannot have the 50 or 60 NT-worth lunch anymore, and neither do my colleagues and students. *sighs* Life is not perfect... So, I told them we'll have to 'upgrade' ourselves by eating a much more expensive vegetarian lunch box from Wed. :P

A nasty thing for today--got that Martin guy's sms again this evening. He said 'I know we cannot be lovers...but can't we be friends? blah blah blah...' -_- I thought I told him point-blank enough and he still thought we could be friends? :P
