Wawa

We have a lovely visitor who would comes every day to my house...

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Named it Wawa, which means "socks" in Chinese since it looks like wearing white socks, and of course I got some cat food for it ( still not sure about its gender...)

We drove to Maokong and had lunch there

They cooked vegetarian dishes for me—it’s convenient to get veggie food here!

My favorite dish—fried sweet popato…yummy!

After lunch we left for Maokong Station—going to take the gondola

A small shopping center there, but we didn’t enter it

Had to pay for the tickets first

I was in the cabin…the scenery in the mountains is magnificent!

Hehe it is much more fun than taking the rollercoaster!

Too bad we did not visit a very famous temple nearby…

Mushroom Hotpot on Typhoon Day

Good to have something special isn’t it. *grins* I bought the mushrooms in a small wok at a local supermarket ( not a big shopping center, you know. ) Around 99 NT… means the hotpot is not big enough to share with others. Hehehe

Anyway I gotta wash the mushrooms first, and put the wok on the gas stove and started to boil and water. After a while I added some sauce to the soup…then the mushrooms. The little green vegetable last. Over. Hmmm…tasted ok. Well I must admit that again I am far away from a good cook…

Looking for Mami

The owner of a vegetarian restaurant told me she found this kitten in back of her kitchen. Poor little one…I took some pictures of it ( not sure what gender it is yet ) and promised to tell my students about it. See if I can help to find it a good master. Too bad my mom doesn’t agree to have a pet at home—once we had 2 cute hamsters and we cried very hard over their death…Since then we wouldn’t like to have any pets.

Happy Chinese Valentine's Day

We can still have fun even if we have not found our Mr. Right or Miss Right yet! Vegetables got very expensive when we had a typhoon here…that was why my good friend and I went have hot pots together on Chinese Valentine’s Day for dinner. ( Why not celebrate our single status? We both cherish the freedom we own now. *smiles* ) The restaurant was full of people, chatting and eating happily. I must say it is very lucky to live in Taipei—you can always have nice meals without spending too much! ( Most of my friends living in foreign countries told me they dare not eat out often since it costs way too much! My colleague took a trip in Europe this July and treated her sis and bro-in-law, who is a French guy, a nice meal in a restaurant by the sea. Well…ONLY 10,000NT dollars, more than 300 USD, you know. hehe )

The following dishes ( as a matter of fact, you can have as many dishes as you would like…around 10 USD per customer ) cost about 20 USD only.
