Dentist wanted...sure I got a toothache

Well I admit that I have had a sweet tooth since I was very young. :D
That’s why my dad had to take me to a dentist from time to time when I was a little girl. And now I am much older…my decayed teeth have stayed in my mouth peacefully for quite a long time, but not these days. They need my care badly? Maybe it’s time to visit a dentist again. Ok not maybe, but a must! Struggling for a period of time ( you know my style…always pondering over one thing before I can make a final decision ), I decided to go to the dentist, who is my very good friend’s husband. And let him cure my lovely but now sick teeth. Ah it’ll be a long term battle from now on. So you guys know it’s very important to take care of our precious teeth! Hm…ok where’s my chocolate? :D

One more thing for today…when I was walking outside this evening, my jade bracelet just fell off on the ground and broke into 3 pieces. I was astonished for sure, and it’s not the first time for me to see my jade bracelet get broken. You can say I am superstitious or what, but it said jade can be the substitute if something wrong is going to happen to the master. Another jade broke in 2002, winter time I remember…when I went camping with students in year 8. We were in the mountains, but I felt sick for the 2 days…got a serious headache and maybe a fever. As soon as my class danced near the camp fire, I was stunned to find my jade bracelet fell down on the ground and broke into 5 pieces. And you know what…one of my gal students insisted that she saw 2 ‘persons’—one’s male and the other’s female, kept looking at us from a distance in the neighborhood. Oh my God. Lucky I didn’t see anything. And dear Lord I wouldn’t like to see anything like that you know. Anyway a new jade bracelet has been put on after I came back home. This one is light purple, called ‘violet’. My SX got it in China and told me it’s a pretty nice one. Well…you know I don’t believe in what a person says easily, especially my SX used to be a businessman. But once I was waiting at the airport…feeling bored and went take a look at the shops. Some stuff caught my eye. It’s a ‘violet’ jade bracelet too, which looks not as beautiful as the one on mine, and cost more than 40000 NT… That moment I believed my SX’s words. LOL~

p.s. In fact I typed what happened on July 31 and posted the 2 paragraphs right after I finished my blogging. But they just…’gone with the wind’ or whatever. -_-“ A friend of mine, who is a bit younger than me but seems smarter in some ways, told me he gets used to typing something in somewhere and then no need to worry they might be lost on the way. ( I complained to him all I have typed had disappeared. ) Hehehe… dear Word, that’s why I am with you now. And, thanks a lot, my friend, for your good advice. :)

Being spontaneous...NOT :P

TGIF! I got 4 sessons this morning, well...ok for me. I enjoy getting along with students you know. The best is kids came to my office during break time and asked me if I needed some massage. ahh... so... what should I say? touching, considerate, and so sweet right? :D  *chuckles* I let them finally. LOL~  but I have only 2 shoulders...the other 2 kids had no chance then. ( poor them :P )  Thus I asked them to massage my colleagues ( males, sitting infront of me ), and they should appreciate it also I guess...( although one of them complained my boy student didn't have enough strength. He's too fat to enjoy it I think. *evil grins* ) The vice class leader, who is in year 8 but still looks like a primary school student--very short, asked me the second time today, 'teacher can you come and have a coffee at my place?'  urm... I am so... touched. hahahaha~ of course I don't wanna go to any student's place to have a tea or coffee, especially that's a boy student. ( Don't wanna be killed by parents of any male's who's much younger than me... :P )
Around noon a guy who I knew  from another channel called me. He's an architect, who lives in Taichung, but will have to come to Taipei from time to time because of his cases. A few years older than me. A vegetarian too. *wink*  In fact he left me a message that he might come to Taipei and would like to see me. Well... I didn't reply him yesterday. I think, if a guy has my number, it's absolutely convenient to call me in advance, especially when he wanna ask me out. hehehe that's why when he did call me today and I nicely declined. ( I did that to another guy earlier this week also. awww :D so he can only see me next week... good enough? not next year you know :P )  Too bad none of them read my blog, or they would surely know about my pattern of seeing guys. Am I too evil? Never.  :P

You'll have to try hard first

Well one boy student came find me with another girl student yesterday and hoped I could do the translation for him. -_-" It's an English album, and he wanna know all about the titles and lyrics. I was like... err... @_@ not again. And then I told him it's easy for me translate such stuff, but he'll learn nothing--without looking them up in the dictionary, reciting them himself. So I gave back the album to him after taking a look, and told him he should try to translate them first and ask me as he finds some difficult terms that are too hard for him to understand. ( Hey the CD's cover looks a bit scary. It's a picture in which a gal's sitting in a bath tub full of blood. Do you know what this singer is? :D )
I told another class today the same idea. You know we teachers are so good at preaching...*chuckles* The main idea is you have to try hard first. I wouldn't like to help students until they have tried their best and they still can't work it out. hehehe...so yeah, if I feel worried about a good friend, like the colleague who just lost her baby, I would keep in touch with her often, by calling her, or visiting her. If I care for a net friend who doesn't live in Taiwan, it's also convenient to call, send sms, or email to keep contact. I look down on those who say, 'oh I am so worried about someone.' yet wanna do nothing for the friend. Maybe everyone has his/her way to make friends. I don't mean I am a very nice person or what...but if I care, I would surely do something. My poor friend will stay in a Care Centre near my school ( since her parents-in-law are too busy to look after her, very good karma I guess...) after she can leave Taida Hospital.  I will go keep her company from time to time when I am off duty. *sighs*

My deepest sympathies

A very good friend of mine, who also teaches at the same public middle school as me, told me this morning that she lost her baby. *sigh* Last week I called her when she was in her mom's place. She told me she felt unhappy from time to time, and cried without knowing why. That sounds like pregnancy melancholia. This monday she went have an examination at Taida Hospital and stayed there since then. The doctor told her that the baby didn't have any heartbeat yesterday, so it's a must to do abortion...
I was told that my good friend's not treated nicely at her immediate family, who are rich and selfish enough. A pregnant woman...dared not turn on the air-con because her mom-in-law thinks it's a waste of money. *grins coldly* They don't know that pregnant women are pretty much afraid of heat? And you know it's over 35 degrees Celsius very often in Taipei! Her husband is the only son. Whether my friend gives birth to a girl or a boy, it'll be absolutely fabulous for the family. They should have tried all means to take good care of the daughter-in-law. Wouldn't it be true that a happy mother can have a happy child. But the parents-in-law said, 'We don't like noise. You should take the baby to a baby sitter and let her take care of it 24 hours, all day.' Yeah the baby heard it, and it might think it's not welcome. Poor baby, and my poor friend. :( You have my deepest sympathies.

A chicken joke?

Well, this joke is forwarded by a net friend of mine, who is from Kaohsiung. He's lucky enough ( got very rich parents )...been to England and studied there for a while. You know English is not my mother tongue, and I never went abroad to study English before. So...這個笑話到底好笑在哪裡啊? @@  ( I mean what's so funny about it? ) Anyway let me paste it here, and maybe you guys who get the point can have a good laugh.  :P

Scientists at Roll Royce built a gun specifically to launch deadchickens at the windshields of airliners, and military jets, alltravelling at maximum velocity. The idea is to simulate the frequentincidents of collisions with airborne fowl to test the strength of theindshields. American engineers heard about the gun and were eager totest it on the windshields of their new high speedtrains.

Arrangements were made, and a gun was sent to the American engineers. When the gun was fired, the engineers stood shocked as the chickenhurled out of the barrel, crashed into the shatterproof shield, smashed it to smithereens, blasted through the control console, snapped theengineer's back-rest in two and embedded itself in the back wall ofthe cabin, like an arrow shot from a bow. The horrified Yanks sent RollsRoyce the disastrous results of the experiment, along with the designsof the windshield and begged the British scientists for suggestions. You're going to love this......

Rolls Royce responded with a one-line memo:

"Defrost the chicken."

"When we can get married then?" err...

After a happy weekend, here it comes Monday again. *chuckles* you can imagine I am not blue at all. To the opposite, I was so glad to meet my old students again at school during summer vacation. Summer school for year 8 students starts today. As usual I would introduce them first what I am going to teach and what I expect them to accomplish by the end of this summer time. So, yes...the most passionate boy student of mine, Jimmy, was in class too, with his left arm broken though. Being stunned :O  I went to him and asked him what happened. He said he rode a bike and fell off, rolled forth over it. @@... oh my. Of course I had to console him and you know what...his classmates around said, 'teacher, you know he came to school just for you.' *being speechless for a while* I pressed my right hand upon my chest and said, 'I am so touched....' Then, as I would walk to the front and continue my lecture, Jimmy asked from my back, 'when we can get married then?' Trying not to fall laughing in class ( I hope I can keep the elegant image for always you know ), I replied him, 'err... I will ponder over it seriously. You go on studying hard ok?'  ahh... -_-"
Sure I know that they like me is much better than they hate me.  :P  As long as they can concentrate on their studies, I don't really mind if they call me 'honey' or whatever... ( LOL~ ) Now then you know teenagers today are very bold huh, and they are so lucky to have me as their idol...Not.  :P   hahahahaha~

Fun to D.I.Y.... NOT

What's so good on a beautiful Saturday morning? I got up and went get traditional Chinese breakfast--shao1 bing3 and fan4 tuan2. On my way home I enjoyed shopping at the market nearby, woo~  a lot of interesting stalls selling cheap and pretty good stuff! I bought 2 pairs of shoes, which cost...300 NT!!! 300 NT!!! hey can you believe it!  Even my mom said 'cool!' :D  So, see? you guys should learn from me. ( now I am talking to my students, who always wanna get brand name shoes to show off at school. A pair of their shoes might cost over 2000 NT! ) Don't you think your homeroom teacher is just the best role model.  :P
After my satisfying breakfast, with nice coffee of course, I decided to install the cloth hanger which was also bought at the market by me. Mind you first, NO MANUAL--I only watched the sales do the installing once. So yeah...I struggled with this D.I.Y. stuff for nearly half an hour, sweating like hell, swearing badly...and finished the installing by myself. A lesson to learn for me--I am not into D.I.Y. things, and I should NEVER, EVER  get anything which needs D.I.Y. for the rest of my life again. My friend said he'd do it well after I told him what happened and suggested he could come try it. ( I enjoy giving tests, and I did give him one last time when I met him. LOL~ He had good luck to make it that time. :P ) Dear friend, no manual, remember.  *grins*

A cool evening in the park

Friday evening it was. I had 4 sessions to teach in the morning. It's tiring. ( try talking for 45 mins x 4 and see if it's true :D ) Anyway I went have dinner--veggie steak, with my friend. Of course it's satisfying and I was in a pretty good mood again. ( yes...every time when I got nice food hehehe ) So, if you guys ( my dear students, that is ) see your teacher ( me ) is going to blow her cool, do remember to get something yummy quickly!! Stuff me up!  :D
And then we took a walk in the park after buying some shaved ice and mango shake. ( 芒果冰沙 ) It's real enjoyable to have such iced snacks at a summer night like this. We found a place to sit down, chatted happily and had our snacks. I looked up into the sky...the moon was not a full one, but still it's beautiful. Like our life, I think...nothing is perfect. Well I am always looking for the good in it though...and very often can I find something interesting somewhere. Like, last Fri. evening when I was in a friend's car, he played some nice songs for me. And this one touched me most: She's Out Of My Life. nice melody and lyrics I think.  :)

此情不可道, 此別何時遇

Too tired to blog last night. hehe I guess I might always have to write about something happened 'yesterday'. Never mind...it's just for fun. And the title for today is the words which are painted on the school wall, which means: the feelings is not to be told, and no idea when we can meet again after this farewell...pretty much a fabulous artwork, by my very best friend WW and her students. Well her bf A.O. is the director, who has a great talent for arts. Anyway she invited me to attend the opening ceremony. Previously I wouldn't like to since I had 2 sessions to teach. But...she said she really hoped that I could make it for her, you know...*smiles* I am this kind of person.  :P  That's why I was there, in a pretty flattering dress, watching the opening going, and taking video clips for them. So...I will burn them a CD. WW's happy for sure. I told her to eat more...poor baby, she worked real hard for that and looks so slender now. Lucky she's leaving for Vancouver next week, to take a trip there for a few weeks. hehehe nice.
Yesterday evening I went choir practicing as usual. We'll have an important performance in October, and the best is the very famous vocalist Ms. Jian will sing with us. *melting* you know how much I admire her there. Once I listened to her singing Amazing Grace, and...I just couldn't help myself...tears welled up in my eyes, then fell down one by one...you know I was truly touched.  :)   This time we practiced Panis Angelicus, which is a psalm in Latin. I sang some wonderful Latin songs before and they are really cool! :D
