Roses without thorns?

So life goes on. Being asked to attend a concert by our choir master, I had to practice with them on Tue evening again. And sure it's lots of fun walking in the rain...NOT. :P However, after the practice I sat in a friend's car since he lives near my place and he's kind enough to give me a ride. He seemed to be in a good mood and was humming some music from the musical Carmen. Heh I said if I should go get a rose then. That brought up the topic if some species of roses have no thorns. I don't think so, and neither does another friend of mine. The thing is I turned down his offer nicely when he suggested he would get me some roses without thorns. LOL~ Roses are beautiful for sure and they are my favorite flowers, you know. But the meaning this flower bears makes me hesitate to accept a bouquet of roses from a guy. :D

Students had their first periodical test these 2 days--yesterday and today. So we only had school for half a day...yay! :D I went have a nice hot pot for lunch yesterday, and today a science teacher who just retired not long ago ( very rich...) will treat me veggie steak for lunch. :D~ hehehe thanks a lot ( and I think one day I will find some chance to return the favor. ) One more thing, a student in grade 7 came give me some gifts which were bought by his bro. His bro was my student and graduated from this middle school in 2003. He couldn't study well because of some damage to his brain...but he's been good and glad to help after I kept encouraging him that time. Now he's working in a shopping centre ( he called me and told me so ) and I am happy to know things are getting well. I told the younger bro, 'Thanks so much, but tell your bro don't buy me gifts anymore. I would like him to save up his money. If he keeps wasting money like this I will get angry ok.' :P He just smiled and left my office.

The performance is this evening...I hope it won't be raining again. Since I will have to wear a long skirt tonight. :P

No EB...no more.

Recently I read some novel whose title is Winds With Voice. In fact there are 5 vols and I read them all...guess it's not that true when I said work's been hectic right. There was a part in vol. 4 impressed me most--it's the moment the leader of all the priests was to give a welcome ceremony to the priests-to-be in the big temple. He sang a song instead of giving any other sacrifice at the altar, and here are some parts of the lyrics:

When I glanced back,
I was the only one left here.
The long waiting
would not bring back the happiness in the past.
What's buried in my mind,
I don't know
if it's missing or something else.
I can't tell you that I live well.
If one can be strong,
then what can you call the feelings
beside sadness.
You are only left in my heart,
so I closed my eyes
and saw you
I don't know whether in the dream or memory
is eternity.
I open my eyes,
I don't know whether in the dream or memory
and you are alive.
Even if you don't come back anymore...
Let me catch your existence in the wind...
Can I...?

Something happened and I was at fault. Like what I used to say to my students, when we make mistakes, it's better to admit and try our best to amend what went wrong. Thus, I am sorry for what I did ( the EB stuff...didn't mean to but seems it's done for ages ) and some step must be taken to prevent some further harm. Hmm...too bad I have been so immature in some way, and the slang 'old habits die hard' applies perfectly. -_- Well...what else can I do? I apologize sincerely...and then move on. It's a...Fin.

Turning so cold

No wonder it's easy to get a cold recently. It started to rain heavily yesterday evening and moreover, we had continuous lightenings for quite a while! I was...wah :O...listening to the thunders while walking on the street and prayed I was not to be hit by any of them. :P Ended up the temperature dropped from 28 C (yesterday) to 13-18 C (today.) *trembling in the freezing spring wind* I am wrong to wear a short skirt today I guess. :D

Students won't have fun at Movie Club until they have their mid-term next week. *chuckles* But I am not to be limited for sure. I just watched some Gigli, which some said it's lame ( on newspaper or magazines you can always see comments bout movies. :P ) I think it's ok since Ben and Jennifer look not too bad, both looks and figures I mean. I will finish it when I have some more free time later during break. But have to grade year 9 students' tests first--sort of boring work lucky I am used to that. :D

To or not to

I got a phone call from choir master a few days ago and was asked to attend a performance at the end of this month. Well...the reason I didn't go there singing is our practicing on Thur evening kind of disturb my schedule--it always ends around 10 p.m. and then my bed time will be surely delayed. Worse, when my bed time's shortened I'd become grumpy too ( the number one factor to make me grumpy is my being hungry...) That's why I hesitated at first while talking with the choir master. She explained to me what an important occasion that will be so she needs me to help with the choir; I finally got urm...ok then. It must be the dark side of my personality: although I agree to help, that doesn't mean I would stop complaining. Thus, last night when I was finding the scripts needed for the performance, my family had a good time listening to my mumbling: I'm gonna regret, yes...I am gonna regret that I promised I would help... :P

And another bad news. Really didn't expect I would get sms from that martin guy after telling him I have been in a stable relationship. ( altho I don't have any serious relationship with any guy but the Lord :D ) Astounded enough to find there's a message received in my lovely degree 3 cell phone! *blinks* Tell me what I shall do if I just can't slap that sucker in the face ( since I wouldn't like to waste my precious time and energy on him. ) The final solution was switch it off and pity...let it expire this June. *sobs* The # is good...but I got to give it up ( previously I thought I could keep it if the mushy sms would not come anymore. ) See? Being too optimistic is never good. :P

The sun shines...I have no OT since this Mon. *yawns* I brought my little NB and enjoys my break time typing this blog, chatting, and soon it's lunch time. *yawnsssssssss* LOL~ I have 2 classes this afternoon. guess I'd better stop right here. :D

Done

Heh this week is almost over ( so we call it 'weekend' ah bu hao xiao
:P ) and I finally have the feeling that I can relax for a bit.
Normally we homeroom teachers don't have as many classes as subject
teachers, for we got to deal with not only students' problems but also
parents'. Sometimes it's just a cinch but somehow you might have to
cope with very troublesome ones. Like the homeroom teacher sitting on
my right in the office. There's a hyperactive boy in her class and she
has to talk with his dad from time to time. It seemed that the single
dad would like to chase the beautiful and kind-hearted teacher--how
convenient if he was successful; the boy could have a nice homeroom
teacher at school and a good step mom after school. LOL~ too bad I must
say nothing is perfect, ended up she must tell them she's already
married and the boy told her how disappointed his dad got. :P
I really think Taiwanese guys are much smarter...or most guys are? :D
They know clearly they should pursue females who had better get a good
career ( to support family ) and good personality ( to take care of
family, won't run away when others are sick or in need. ) Of course if
the famales have pretty looks and figures, woo~ wonderful isn't it. Big
bonus! So I wish the single dad good luck. :P

This Wed I took students to Bei Tou for a field trip, visited some
scenic spots which are well-known for hot springs. The guide in Bei Tou
Hot Spring Museum gave us a lecture and now then I know we have 3 kinds
of hot spring in TW. Sorry I am too lazy to check the English terms for
them. Students were amazed when we went to a lake by the mountains and
saw the hot water under...no more chance to enjoy your life on earth if
you fall into the water like a dumpling. By the way I must say I am
grateful for the 2 moms' help. They went along with us and gave me a
hand when students got naughty--yeah we always have to discipline kids.
:P Furthermore I told my students if they dared to complain they would
NEVER have to go for their graduation trip with me in the future ( this
Sep prolly.) They can save up their 4000 NT and stay home for 3 days
since I don't want kids ( in fact they are teens in year 9 ) who don't
listen to me. LOL~ Poor students right? So bad the homeroom teacher
is! :P Let me tell you...every time when I held them an activity, no
one was absent, so far. :P

Ok here comes the weekend. I hope to rest more and have enough free
time for myself. You know I didn't stop working OT since the beginning
of this new school term until this Fri ( yesterday.) If they didn't
stop it I would be the next who had to take a medical leave!
Anyway...wish you guys, and myself...a happy and peaceful weekend!

Got a gift :P

Yeah I was teaching in a year 9 class. This week is supposed to be the
final countdown heh. :P The boy who sits near the platform the most
gave me a card in class. It's from Fullmetal Alchemist--on that card is
the main character, Edward Elric. LOL~ I can never forget his facial
expression when I mentioned this anime once... :P He could never have a
thought that the teachers here would know bout manga and anime. *sighs*
I started to read manga since my childhood ok. Why? Because my grandma owned a store which sold some candy and cookies to kids, and also there
were comic books for kids to rent. Yeah yeah I know I was lucky--free
snacks and never need to pay for reading right. :P

A colleague asked me to go looking around in the market nearby during
our break. I said ok ( ignored the pile of students' homework to be
graded :D ) and had some fun. Not really shopping tho, for I don't
wanna spend money for useless items. Well it ended up getting some
bananas ( 25 NT for 600 g ) and bell fruit ( more expensive--70 NT. )
Hmm not a waste if they are good for health. :P Tomorrow will be
busier! 2 classes for OT...and take students to Bei Tou for a field
trip. I know it's more hardworking than staying in the classroom
lecturing, but...they have done something good and I promised that they
will be rewarded a 'trip'. So...had better sleep enough, and must
remember to bring the better digi cam! :P

A not blue but busy Mondy

Some events for today. *yawns* Ah my shoulders are sore again. It's
Sammie's birthday and he asked me for candy couple of days ago. So...in
class I went over and gave him the bday candy--woo a happy boy's
smiling face's so cute! ^^ I had 4 classes this morning, and in the
afternoon I went attend a funeral with some colleagues. Our principal
went too. Now they use powerpoint to show the person's photos in the
'farewell hall' ( not sure what to call such a situation tho. ) I
didn't cry but felt tears in my eyes...then, I went back to school to
have the 8th class. And saw the gal student, who ran away from home and
didn't come to school for a few weeks, and her mom. Well well...I must
say it's not so easy to get my approval that easily. Once a student
decided to leave school without a second thought...he/she had better
prepare to see my 'bad face colour' and listen to some 'wise ( I doubt)
but not-so-cheerful ( that I have no doubt )' words from me when he/she
would like to beg me to let him/her study in my class again. *smiles
coldly* Why I don't let it go easily? Since the other students are
watching--woo teacher's so kind that she wouldn't mind our leaving
school anytime; she'll always let us in anytime we wanna come back so
we don't need to worry and just skip classes as much as we'd like to
heh! Sorry I am not this kind of easy-going person in my field. :D I
work hard enough and then get what I want in life. So I am nice to
kids...but not that nice in some way. ( In fact I never let any ex of
mine come back to my life again either...MY BAD! :P )

The third week's coming :D

Woo and now I finished 2 weeks big OT! hehehe It's getting smoother
in class since students are used to my style--they have known me
better and both parties, the teacher and the students, can have a
good time together. When we are joking, I used to say, 'oh it's my
pleasure to hurt an innocent student's heart!' And they pretty much
have the feedback, 'how come time doesn't fly...she's still teaching
in our class!' LOL~ Then I praise them like, 'wow good you guys did
learn from my talent oh I am such a successful teacher...*claps*' :P
In fact English is never an easy subject for Taiwanese students (
including the me before...*sighs* ) so it's necessary to creat a
happy circumstance to boost the learning. ( How come my English
teachers were not like me tho :/ )

Something 'bad' happened as well. ( Life is never perfect right. ) I
switched on the degree 3 cell phone to check if the battery's run
out. And not long after that I got that Martin's sms! @_@ I must say
he's more 'never give up' than me?? :P Let me translate the content:
' I told you I love you so many times, but you still keep quiet.
It's just like one-way loving...I have no idea when I can get your
passionate reply? I wish you happiness on White Lovers' Day.' Urm...
*chuckles* Too bad isn't it. I did have good impression for him when
we chatted on the phone last year the first few times. The thing is
he's dumb enough to do something nasty on the 'dates' ( I really
don't wanna call the going out watch a movie and have a meal 'dates'
tho! ) One's chances can be easily ruined by one's carelessness may
I say so? :P I don't mind staying single and, to be honest, it's
fine with me--I am able to enjoy my loneliness. :) Walking on the
street alone, I would look at the azure sky when the weather is
nice, or I would feel the coldness of rain on my cheeks when the
weather god's moody. Then I feel all's good and quiet, altho there
are other passengers and vehicles around...heh.

And of course interesting events come to me from time to time but,
but I am too lazy to record them all. :P Like a boy student's 60 NT
request after class... LOL~ well NO GOOD to say it I guess. OK it's
Sunday morning, cold and cloudy! Got so much to do...( to turn off
the celly is the first! :P ) Happy weekend hehe :D

Gone the first week

Like what I said...I have been working like crazy due to a teacher's
miscarriage--got to take over her duty and teach another class in grade
9. Luckily they are all obedient to me. ( Am I that bad? :D ) And they
seem happy in class... ( The candy tactic works that well? :P ) However
life goes on; more and more problems for me to solve. Some gal ran away
from home at midnight after she heard her dad saying something like,
'That bad gal doesn't deserve to stay home!' Of course she didn't come
to school ever since. -_- Her mom came to school and talked with me for
a while, telling me her daughter might be neglected because her giving
birth to the third kid. ( My gal student is the second. ) Well...isn't
it common when a family has a younger child. *sighs* I can only say,
there are many different ways to get mature--some want it hard tho.

Another problem is some boy students dare to gamble in the classroom.
Of course they wouldn't let me know, but a boy owed another boy 500 NT
( he has paid maybe a few thousand NT dollars. ) Her mom found that
he's short of pocket money and then the son told her the truth. Sure I
am angry but I promise the mom that I won't mention her son's name when
I deal with this tomorrow. She is worried other boy students may take
revenge on his revelation. Those who don't wanna pay attention on
studies at school will surely find some other stuff to play with, to
kill time. And that's why I am paid to be a homeroom teacher--my
responsibility to discipline them! They will have a wonderful time I
bet... Anyway, 2 weeks left for the OT. I will take good care of
myself, and you guys too. :)
