A lesson to learn

Happened to meet the principal...and I regret that
I turned down the offer--our principal would give
me a vegetarian rice dumpling. *sighs* I was so
immature! Really should have accepted it happily,
and then I could give one made by my mom to return
the favor. =_= I must remember this lesson.

By the way I gotta say these days we teachers and
students have the most relaxing school time since
the first CBT is over. In class we read novels and
comic books; one boy student even brought a COMPAQ
notebook! I went over to take a look...too bad not
able to come online in the classroom. A good friend
of mine lent me some books written by Hou Wenyong-
-in case I feel too bored at school. *chuckles*
Pretty grateful I am...and I wish the friend good
luck--good health, good fortune as well!

Being worried

學生考完第一次基測囉！現在我們上課就大多在自習，也
鼓勵大家帶課外書來打發"晨光悅讀"的時間，打牌下棋則
不許可，真遺憾。不過校長主任有他們的考量，我們當導
師也就配合著囉，以免巡堂被抓有麻煩。

昨天在考場和家長聊天，談到台灣許多工廠都移出去，孩
子未來就業搞不好都要去中國大陸，深感無奈。這家長是
做冷氣的，假如去大陸應該生意也不賴，小孩高職就念個
相關的科系，自動控制什麼的啊，以後當老闆賣冷氣給我
記得算便宜些...哈開玩笑的。

這幾天新聞多是陳家和趙家如何運用權勢關係，而達成迅
速致富的境界，相信全台灣人民各有感嘆。我自己身在教
育界，對於這些貪吃到不知稍微遮掩，明目張膽的行徑，
我好憂心台灣下一代的未來。第一線教書的人，更該振作
精神...*自我鼓勵中*

Good to change her mind

Previously my mom wouldn't agree to make us rice
dumplings. "It is very troublesome! If you guys
wanna have rice dumplings, you just go get some at
the stalls!!" OK...we dared not say anything
against my mom, our queen at home, who can twist a
roach's head off by hand. She said it is dirty to
smash a roach with our slipper or some book. Easier
when hygiene is concerned. Sure, sure...We want our
heads of course.

However, I am eating a pretty nice rice dumpling
made by my mom, hmm so tasty! What changed her
mind? I asked her. She said she would like to make
some for her good friend, so she 'shuen bian' made
some for the family. *sobs* It's so kind of her.
And we are lucky for my mom has a very good friend.
That's why I don't need to order any vegetarian
rice dumplings from the stalls; there are quite a
few in our fridge! Yeah! I hope you guys can have
some nice ones too by the Dragon Festival.

My notebook's broken!

上完第三節後我回到辦公室，看到桌上有一根螺絲釘，咦
我不是教工藝的嗎，怎麼會有這種零件，再仔細一看，唉
呦不得了啦，我的筆電左邊承軸，就是螢幕連著的地方破
掉了...*泣*明明上一節課還好好的在書桌上，才45分鐘
不見，發生了什麼事啊！我猜有人不小心把它摔壞了，也
許是學生在上課中來辦公室幫老師拿東西，然後...也不
敢向我承認啦，幸好還能用，目前拿來打字上網還OK。自
我安慰一下：也好啦，破掉的筆電更沒有人偷吧！*
泣...* >_<

Don't use it wrong

Our president's son-in-law has been into big
trouble which is related to the stock market. He
and his parents are all involved. Furthermore, our
president used a saying wrong--the phrase qing zhu
nan shu (罄竹難書) should be used for something
wrong, some negative events. But our minister of
the Education Department defended Mr. Chen by
saying we can use the above phrase in a postive
way. Of courst...NOT. Our Chinese teachers never
agree with that. Don't you think it's wiser to
admit that we made a mistake and then correct it.
I believe such people would be more popular and
respectable. That's why I am worried about the
future of our kids sometimes, you now, since they
watch what those stupid officers have said and
done then learn from them.

談完令人憂心的國家大事，就來說說近來發生的趣事。本
週末要學測囉！真是...我當年聯考時導師在哪裡啊，為
什麼現在學生考試全體國三導師要到？孩子的家長才需要
來陪考吧！怎麼推給老師呢真奇怪，坦白說我們去也幫不
上忙，什麼你說幫忙他們訂便當？誰敢啊！哈哈，萬一小
朋友肚子痛了影響考試成果導師賠不起好不好。有個男生
才寶咧，突然來問我老師妳有沒有油性筆，就是黑色奇異
筆啦，我問他你要幹嘛？他拿出一把小扇子說，老師妳幫
我簽名在這個扇子上面，學測時我要帶去搧。哇咧...加
持啊！

Mistakes

打開電視看新聞才知現在台東多一處熱門觀光景點啦！還
有趙家的小朋友童言童語，也堂堂出現在台開案的相關報
導中，大概台灣的口味真的太多樣了，什麼花邊都來。

這個週末豔陽高照，街上人來人往好多在逛，呵呵為什麼
我知道，大概是我也是在血拼中...*偷笑* 其實沒買什麼
啦，反而是在書店鬧了一個笑話：和朋友進了某家書城，
發現某出版社的書打折，比拿貴賓卡的折扣還多的多呢！
我想自己家附近不也有家KINGSTONG嗎！就問小姐：請問是
不是每家KINGSTONE都有這個打折的活動呢？小姐臉上三條
線：我們這裡又不是KINGSTONG...我也三條線...旁邊的朋
友希望不認識我吧...後來我說：喂這家書店真的很像
KINGSTONE對不對，朋友回我：哪裡像啊！唉 =_=

Get well

Hah there was another affair these days--a guy
whose name is Chang Kuei went dating a woman at a
motel in Banqiao. Photos were taken, and he told
the journalists he was there 'tan gong shi' (
talking about business. ) Finally we know motels
have an extra function hehehe. My students and I
all agree that the most pitiful character in such a
story is the wife. She always has to stand out and
announce she believes her husband NEVER had affairs
with other women. Poor wives.

This morning it was a bit rainy yet sunny as well.
Weird ain't it. As soon as I was in the office, 2
students of mine came tell me to see the rainbow.
Wow I was surprised! The rainbow looked so near and
huge! A pretty amazing scene...too bad I did not
have a good digi cam to take a pic of it.

Anyway today is Fri; I had a cold a few days ago,
and thanks God I get well soon. Hope my friend can
feel much better today too. By the way, I did sit-
ups before sleeping--10 this time.

體重是降了，朋友仍好心地提出雕塑身材的建議，唉我又
不當模特兒，幹嘛那麼美啊！教育界有需要雕塑身材嗎各
位！好吧就算為了健康，昨天晚上我仍是聽朋友的話，努
力做了，呵呵，6下，不簡單吧，6下仰臥起坐，然後腹肌
就好痛，沒辦法我真是四體不勤五穀不分的好女人呀！*嘆
*

珍珠颱風來囉，學生只關心能不能放假，*咳咳*事實上我
也好不到哪兒去，不過我更關心吃的夠不夠，這個吃全素
的最怕鬧飢荒，沒吃飽血糖一低就完了，輕者情緒低落，
重則...算了不提也罷，哈哈，反正和我熟的都見識過...

最近新聞就兩件比較吸引我的注意，方小姐的老公于先生
劈腿被抓，外遇說她還要做人，當然啊，于先生名氣也不
是小到大家不知道他有老婆，今天有勇氣招惹有婦之夫的
女人，就要承擔接下來的後果嗎！希望不是光外遇的那一
位要做人，通通都要好好做人啦！感情沒什麼對錯，我認
為，不喜歡了也就是不喜歡了沒錯，錯是在一方不坦然，
耽誤了原本的另一半。所以方小姐早點知道也好安排後半
的人生，不然等到七老八十了，要再尋覓春天可沒那麼多
機會啦！

還有台開案，哇那麼好，短短幾個月賺8百萬台幣...我的
朋友們和我都忍不住想，有內線才好玩股票，像我們這種
沒後台，沒人報明牌的，只好乖乖拿薪水吧，否則大多是
虧本滴。嗯，看來玩股票真是一門學問喔！

Being sick

今天仍然在"破病"中，反正我堅持不看醫生滴，多喝水多
休息就對了，也很感謝關心我的好朋友前來探病，其實很
快就會好。最近是壓力極大沒錯，學生下個週末就要學測
了，學校又要求國三導師趕快交一堆成績，品德啦評語等
等，所以可稱之為內憂外患的5月，然後天氣近來不穩定，
過敏發作的就更厲害了，啊...忍耐吧！

Exhausted

What an exhausting Monday...seems I had not been this
tired for a long time until today. Maybe it resulted
from my sickness? Got a sore throat yesterday;
shouldn't have eaten that iced durian bought by my
mom I guess. Anyway, I will be fine sooon as long as
I get enough water and rest. Hehe some friend used to
tell me to see a doc when I was ill. Thanks...but I
just don't wanna enter a hospital because of catching
a cold. Well I had better go hit my pillow earlier
tonight and hope everything will be fine asap.

A visit

And the weekend is fun too. Two of my ex-students
called me last night asking if they could come over
to my place to pay me a visit. Sure. Heh not all of
my students can see me like this, you know. Only
those who are good, cute, polite, and considerate.
Otherwise I would tell them I am too busy to meet
them--it's torturing if I still have to see
students who I don't really like after work right.
Anyway QQ ( a boy student ) and Pony ( a girl )
came; I shouted them milk tea and had a small talk
for about 2 hours, sharing with each other what we
do recently, what friends we have made since their
graduation in 2003, etc. Time flies...hehe. I told
them it's time to leave as I saw the time's past 10
p.m. Brilliant kids...welcome to my place next
time.

Call it an amusing week. On Thur afternoon I went to Keelung to have a nice buffet at Evergrren Laurel Hotel with colleagues. Of course it's a special occasion--a math teacher is going to retire this summer. Woo she can live on a nice pension in the future and enjoy herself...no need to yell at naughty teens anymore. How I envy her...but I am still too young, you know. This picture's taken at the lobby; the jar beside me costs around NT$100,000. 

Dead tired

太可怕了，今天...開了6個鐘頭3個會，我快累掛了，真的，寧願
去上6節課，也不要開這些會啊！*泣...*~>.<~

比較好玩的是有人送花來，夏天花比較不耐，我趕快加水把花插
起來。好辛苦的一天，看來我得早點去休息，明天還要和同事去
基隆呢！^_^

A day without my celly

Well I forgot to bring along my cell phone to work.
*chuckles* ended up there were 11 missed calls as I
checked it at home this early evening. It's a sign of my
poor memory, or just my carelessness, or...both? hahaha I
bet you'd say 'both'!

Still 19 days to go, you know, for students to take the
BCT. They are getting more nervous, I mean some of them;
the others are still relaxing--read comic books during
break time. Hmm when I was to take the entrance exam (
yeah ages ago ), I truly didn't have such free time for
comics books or novels...hehe thanks God no tests for me
anymore! I can read as much as I want! Watching anime and
movies is lots of fun too. I hope I can see Mission
Impossible III, and Da Vinci Code. The latter isn't on
yet in Taiwan. *crossing my fingers* :)

House of Nine Gragons

Went have dinner at Giu Long Ge, of course a vegetarian
restaurant, which means House of Nine Dragons. I've been
there once, ages ago, when some aussie friends came visit
Taipei. Ah I didn't keep in touch with them...no idea how
they are now. Maybe the item's got married. The dishes
are good, especially the soup tastes sweet. So I asked
the owner and she told me they made the soup in some
special way, adding vetetables and sugar cane to the soup
and keeping boiling for a couple of hours. Really...so
troublesome I think. That's why I never think I can be a
good cook. ( Neither do I think I can be a good
wife...Mom said the best way to get a man is through his
stomach or what. *sighs* )

Another funny thing happened the day before yesterday,
Fri evening after we got dinner. On our way home, I found
a roach on the road walking ( or running? not sure :P )
very fast. We passed it and it's very kind of me to warn
my friend, who's definitely afraid of roaches, that
there's a roach nearby. LOL and it did look like the
roach's following us...so you guys can imagine how panic
my friend was...and how naughty I was, 'hey "little
strong" come come here!' hahahaha

今天是5月5日星期五耶！學生提醒我的，呵呵忙到昏頭怎麼沒注意到，那買樂透要選5,15,25,35,45,再來個8好了，學生說老師妳這樣簽中了我請妳。我回，什麼那怎麼夠意思，中了頭獎我請全班！後來也沒買，哈我已經很久不買樂透，一張50元也不貴，可是我太懶了。

喔還有一件大事，孩子們拿到准考證囉！最近拿去拜拜的家長一定很多，其實人有時真需要一點好運呢！剛好題本考出來的就是有把握的多好啊！所以我告訴學生們，信主的就多祈禱，其他的就照家裡習慣的方式，希望全班都平安順利！

Bad luck >.<

最近是不是因為氣候不佳，不少同事或同事的小孩生病，食物中
毒住院的都出現了，前天還是大前天吧，眼皮跳個不停，真是，
看鏡子裡我自己的臉都好笑，左眼跳完跳右眼，右眼跳了再換到
左眼，拜託...怎麼不兩隻眼皮一起來跳嗎！結果應驗了有跳必有
事，還牽連到一位朋友，我真的真的運氣沒那麼背過！接二連三
的巧合，讓我們同感：上天是覺得我們不夠忙是吧？

終於啊我的眼皮不再跳了，這個月底孩子們也要參加人生的第一
次大考囉！我們這個年紀的叫聯考，現在嗎叫做基本學力測驗，
BCT--basic competence test. 換湯不換藥啦，國英數自然社會
，跟當年差不多，哈哈，我以前國中時最討厭讀的就是英文呢！
沒想到...好像開了一個大玩笑。總之當下最要緊滴就是穩定學生
的心情，讓他們平安度過這場大考，加油！

Not for teachers

In fact many workers didn't need to work today. But we
teachers did. Oh yeah so did our students. No idea why
the gov doesn't wanna let teachers rest...we still have
school on Teacher's Day, you know.

That's so unfair. But I ain't the woman who would keep
complaining about something I cannot change a bit. As for
my job, going well as usual. The second periodical test
is coming soon. And the manga I am into these days, up to
vol. 21! The weather's sunny and hot, so we all turned on
the air con and right now I am enjoying the coolness at
home. *a big smile*
