We lost the game

Awww we did our best (?) and were pulled over by another class. Thus the game's over. Seeing my dear students felt down...I...urm...I didn't feel too bad tho. :P Since a parent gave me 500 NT and said she would like me to get some soft drink for kids, I then got apple juice for my class. They soon got better and started kidding again--good to look forward and think bright, just like their homeroom teacher. LOL~

This afternoon I had to take over a PE teacher's duty. So it's time to stay on the court and run after my students...NOT. :P I don't get the habit to 'chase' you know. *smiles* But fun to bring my digi cam and take pics while some of them were playing basketball, others were resting under the trees. Yeah it's quite relaxing and comfortable for all of us. :D

One contest Done

So it's time to perform on the stage, my dear teen-aged students,
facing the three judges and playing the flute. I could hear your hearts
beating hard because of nervousness... :P and some of you still tried
to keep smiling on there! *sobs...me so proud of you all!* :P Being a
homeroom teacher, I certainly remembered to bring my digi cam and took
pics and even recorded the second song they did. Well, I must say it's
their best performance since they practiced these 2 songs a month ago!
:D

Then we went back to our classroom and enjoy our 'Movie Club' time.
Belphegor-Le Fantome Du Louvre was not too bad, altho not scary enough.
Sorry to say so, you know...we Taiwanese has more than enough scary
topics in our TV shows or movies. That's why all the students sat there
watching and having pearl milk tea, which costs 10 NT each, my treat...
:P without a single screaming in the classroom. Now then you know we
have been 'pampered' in some way. *winks*

If it's fine tomorrow, we'll have the Ba He contest with another class
on the court. Hmm...what drink shall we get this time. :D

Minus 3

So I did feel excited bout my new toys--the TV and DVD burner, and certainly it's a must to try its function! The thing is I have to do a 'minus 3' while doing the recording. For example, if I wanna record the program on channel 33, I will set it on 30 otherwise the program recorded won't be what I want. :P The kind-hearted sales person didn't set my machine well enough I guess...but, I shouldn't call to bother him again I guess. :P Way too troublesome for him to come over! :D I think I have do rely on myself now and try to manipulate them!

As for anime...getting Prince of Tennis, and have fun burning them on the cheapest CDs I ever got--50 pcs for 159 NT. *thankful tears falling* :P I hope the quality can be good enough tho--can still watch them 10 years later, I pray... LOL~ :P Another anime I watched recently is Air. Well I don't think it's interesting like what the forum said, so far. Pretty dull...and only one guy surrounded by other females, from old to young. *sighs* no idea what the main idea is. Maybe I'll get a clear pic later on tho. Let's wait and see.

A very expensive Sat

Ho I guess I was crazy again! Today's fine and I couldn't help going
out to have lunch and look around at a shopping centre. Then...did a
big purchase! A flatscreen TV and a DVD recorder... *sighs* :) Well
what can I say? LCD TVs now still cost a bomb--a 36" looks good but the
price doesn't worth it. Maybe a couple of years later when the price
gets reasonable...I will get one. We used to record TV programs with
our VHS machine--it's more than 20000 NT 10 years ago! Yeah you can say
it was the highest model that time ( and brand name it is--Panasonic!)
But nowadays it's the trend to use DVD RW; thus I bore the pain in my
heart caused by thinking of the flying away money and ordered what I
would like. :D The best was that salesperson was real good. He came
over to teach me how to use them step by step, and even asked me to
operate the procedures in case I didn't understand. *shedding some
thankful tears* Finally I learned and then I asked him how much I
should pay him. He didn't want a penny from me. Oh dear Lord...bless
this kind-hearted young man please! :D He will surely be a great sales
person and hope he can make a tremendous fortune!! ^_^

Ba He (a tug of war)

Like what I mentioned earlier...this is the competition season. :P We
had this kind of sport (?) *wondering if it can be described as a sport
tho...* called 'ba he'. Two groups of students go pull a long thick
cord made of flax and see which end are weak and then get pulled over.
Usually their weight counts, of course. I took a look at my dear
students, who are in grade 8 and some of them still look like
elementary school students...*sighs* I decided to buy them soy milk
after they finished the game. Therefore, I was standing there, using my
digi cam to record their strugging and shouting meanwhile, 'jai you!
Lower your body! Stay backwards! Pull! Pull!' ( like a crazy woman but
lucky nobody was shooting me LOL~ )

Urm...ended up we won the game. -_- *sighs* How come? The Lord must
think 'hmm this homeroom teacher's so nice that we can't let her class
lose!' But...dear Lord I don't really wanna shout like mad on the court
again! *sobs...me and my elegant image's ruined* :P

Snoopy Case

My 2 lovely ex-students. So glad to know they are doing great in the senior high school now. And they are very 'ke4 qi4' to bring me a gift... I will cherish it! :D Posted by Hello

Lovely visitors

Got Daniel's phone call this early morning, said he's to pay me a visit with Pony, who is one of my favorite gal students and now his schoolmate. They were classmates and graduated from this school. I was happy to meet them! ( I don't really wanna see most of my students again once they are gone you know. :P But I don't mind meeting those who are so cute! )

So we were all in my office, having milk tea and some snack I prepared earlier. Daniel is now the president of students committee at their school, and Pony quitted the Guitar Club and joins the Dactylology Club. @_@ I asked her how come...thought she's interested in playing the guitar. She didn't feel comfortable there she said...and couldn't really get along. Okay...maybe it's fun to learn some sign language too. Daniel told me bout his 'love story', which happened a few years ago. ( woo~ so young! ) He said they had the same interest--drawing pictures, and they often stayed together doing some painting or such for school. He thought the gal's nice, but the only problem was that gal was a few years older. awww :P That's why he didn't think they were good match. ( LOL~ No wonder he's my good student...the same thought! ) Pony was surprised to listen to his story and went, 'Hey you didn't tell me about this before!' :P Ohh~

And they gave me lovely present--some candy and cookies in an Iron box with Snoopy on the case. :P I took a pic and maybe will upload here later on. Nice to see you, my sweet students! :D

School of Rock

Ahh...this week is supposed to be another peaceful and pleasant week
for me, and things just turned so unexpectedly...fun...NOT. I got
allergy yesterday morning, and all of a sudden I couldn't stop
sneezing, and felt very tired. Some gal students came to my office to
have a talk around 11 a.m. and went, 'whoa! Teacher you cried? Ain't
you ok earlier at the first class??' I swear I really didn't wanna make
students worried bout me. :P hahaha and like what I used to say, I soon
got well after drinking more water and sleeping enough. :D

By the way it's the contest season for us. We need to perform on the
stage playing the flute, all the classes in grade 8. So that's why I
have to use some spare time in class to make them practice more! Well I
ain't someone who's crave for the championship, but hope my students
won't fall off from the stage and are able to play the 2 songs well. In
a word, don't they lose face will do. *grins* Too bad I can't play with
them on there, so my responsibility will be take some photos for those
lovely boys and gals. :P

This time we had School of Rock for our Movie Club on Wed afternoon. I
remember I watched it on the plane last winter break when I was coming
back to Taiwan. But the dub was German with Chinese sub, quite weird I
know. And today we had English dub and Chinese sub--much better for me,
and students too. LOL~ It's a funny one and Wendy told me she likes
this kind of topic. No wonder, you know...she plays the piano too.

I started to watch the anime Air, and done ep. 1 this evening. Guess
they are ripped off DVDs? The quality's very good, but the only flaw is
dub and sub couldn't match well. Some I watched before had this problem
also. Hmm maybe it's my machine or what? I don't know...and the OP ED
songs for Yakitate Japan changed on ep. 13--both are nice! I listened
to Soul'd Out-Flyte Time and found I pretty much enjoy such music, fun
and relaxing. :D

Not a tiring week but still tired

It's Tomb Sweeping Day this Tue, a national holiday, no work no school.
Then We had a quite relaxing Wed--I keyed in students' marks they got
from the first periodical test in the morning, and watched Taxi 2 for
our Movie Club. My boy student Jerry brought a digi cam and took some
photos of classmates and teachers. His is a brand name stuff, Sony,
which is better than my Texon. ( I know I know...I never heard that
brand before either. ) So the photos taken look sharp--Jerry looked
happy and proud after I told him so. :P I should go get a better digi
cam too, but *sighs* now I gotta save up money for my trip to Japan
this summer break. It'll cost a bomb since ppl who have been there
informed me stuff in Tokyo are real expensive. My $...is to fly away!
*sobs* :P

On Thur a gal student was to leave for another school to study. Daisy
is very nice and she gave me a hand in class for the past 6 months. I
pretty much relied on her and of course it's sad to see her leave.
Therefore I prepared a little gift, a bracelet made of pink crystal,
which means good luck in 'tao hua'. But since she's still a junior high
student, I'd say it can bring her good luck in making good friends in
her new class. ( And it's written in the card I wrote to her. :D ) Her
eyes were full of tears when she came up to me...so were my eyes. Wish
you all the best for your brand new school life, Daisy. :)

Fri we had our grade 9 students take photos for their year book. They
are going to graduate from this junior high school. That's why I was
there on campus sitting with this class and their homeroom teacher and
other subject teachers. The photographer 'complained' our faces were so
'stiffed' and our smiles looked very unnatural. LOL~ Hearing that we
all laughed and then it started going well. It will bring back the
happy memories when students grow old and one day they open up the year
book...'wow we looked so young and pure (?) that time! erm no idea if
this evil teacher ( they used to address me so, but they're so wrong
you know I am such an innocent person :D ) is still alive...' Ain't it
fun! :P

A day off

Today's a national holiday so we have no school. I have got 3 packages
of potato chips since the concert ended...like what I planned earlier.
LOL~ no need to avoid eating heaty snacks anymore! I never worry about
keeping fit you know maybe for my being a vegatarian ( not a good
reason but, I don't mind. :D )

What else did I enjoy except munching chips...let me think. I finished
reading the novel 'The Da Vinci Code' by an American writer Dan Brown,
quite a big volumn. A Chinese teacher, who is also a colleague sitting
next to me, lent this book to me, 'hey you might be interested in this
story.' And yes it's fabulous and I did get attracted to the mysterious
plots and felt impressed by the numberous witty lines inside. ( I am
not to recite any from this book tho. *winks* )

Moreover, I watched some anime...and got :O oh my the female president
I mentioned on my last blog is a, *stunned* les. Well it's ok, just
didn't expect that previously. :P ( and what can I expect from an
anime? some entertainment that is. :D ) I wander what will happen in
the end--maybe Mai will marry the Reito Lord and become the Queen of
Darkness. LOL~ ( way too impossible I know. :P ) *yawning* I feel
sleepy during day time...

Rainy...Relaxing...it's Sat

*Yawns* didn't do much today. Why? Because it's Sat! But I should have
had more fun if it was not raining. *sobs* Lucky I am always the one
who keep thinking bright... 'no going out' = 'no wasting money' :D
That's why I stayed home most of the day. Beside mopping the floor, I
also watched some anime--Teacher's Time ep 9, My-Hime ep 21. The former is funny for it's quite opposite the situation is for me and my students. :P ( well come to think of my height that is. ) The latter one is interesting also...the president of students' committee is a Hime too! :O She's my favorite character in this anime, you know, smart, gentle, strong-minded...and able to make good tea. hehehe :P Finally I went out for a misosilu hot pot at dinner time, yummy~ woo :D

The concert & April Fools Day

Finally it's time to stand on the stage...light's very bright and I could even feel the heat ( what kind of lights they are I wonder...definitely unlike the lights we use at home. ) In fact I was not satisfied with my performace on the second song...but the others were fine. hehe The best is I could enjoy other musicans' performance...really enjoyed listening to the nocturnes of Chopin. But too bad he didn't play my favorite part of it. The music 'Peopel always pursue the rainbow' impressed me a lot. Yeah...I would never stop pursuing the most beautiful rainbow all of my life. After the concert we were about to leave, and happened to meet the prof in Music Department who played the cello. She told us her cello was more than 200 yrs old. Woo~ I felt very lucky that I got the chance to see such an antique musical instrument last night.

Then it's the April Fools Day. Guess there is this line printed on my face 'I'm so easy to get tricked' and they had a good laugh in class. So far I was fooled for 3 times. ( School hasn't ended for today while I am typing this blog. ) In the morning I went to class 803 and saw a boy student writing something about Math on the blackboard. The class leader asked me 'Why are you here? Our first class is Math.' I was really getting ... :O for a short while. That I forgot about my schedule and went to a wrong class happened before. So...err of course I finally entered the classroom and did my job. Then the second class was 804, where I am the homeroom teacher and they didn't seem interested in tricking me. But in the middle of the class, my cell phone rang. Sure I answered it and to my surprise it was from the Grade Coordinator. He went, 'Hurry to the class 803. You should be there teaching now.' I went really... @_@ what the. The second class today IS 804! So I told him, 'No, I am teaching 804. There must be something wrong.' Back to class I told my students that I thought today is really full of tricks! Fortunately I had a break...and nothing 'exciting' happened until 2 boy students came to my office and reported, 'Teacher, Sean and Joe are fighting in the classroom now!' Oh no...the 2 fought over something trifle only last week and got told off by me. Again! I went out of the office, proceeding to the classroom...and found the 2 boys were laughing hard behind me. -_- Erm... still got a couple of hours left for April 1st. *sobs in a dark corner* poor me... :P
