A notice for the coming Monday

I pretty much like the weather in autumn—cool and pleasant. Hehe it means I need more sleep…or I do sleep more these days…whatever. And some colleagues asked me ( more likely they were complaining to me ) how come they had to take over my duty the coming Monday. Erm...as a matter of fact I didn’t know I was to leave school for a meeting in another school in Taipei with our school master until I went back to my office and found the paper on my desk. The notice said the meeting is held for all the principals and the heads of English teachers in elementary schools and junior high schools, and of course the purpose is to discuss how to improve students’ English abilities. Hmm the school master will drive me there so I don’t need to worry about the parking. Anyway I’ve decided to dress myself as beautifully as I can—maybe can meet some nice single males at the meeting. Who knows? *coughs* Ok ok I will pay attention to what the professor says too—to improve our students’ English. *grins*

First buffet with ETs

Been busy since my boss from Teaching Department asked me to be the head of all English teachers at my school. *chuckles* Well I don’t really mind working hard, but hope my colleagues can cooperate. Sure nothing is perfect in this world—some people just don’t wanna be good. What makes it worse is they wouldn’t even ask me in order to figure out. That’s why I understand human nature better…hehe the higher your position becomes, the greater hatred your opponents obtain. However, I still work for all of them, and today, I had a welcome party at a vegetarian restaurant. Our school master and my boss were present. There are 3 new ETs in my school, including P, who I mentioned before on my blog. She looked cheerful and happily greeted me while in the restaurant…good girl. I wouldn’t like to see her get hurt again by contact her ex or anyone from her ex’s family. They were never meant to be…from the very beginning. How come worry about a relationship that doesn’t work out? Find another guy!

Talking about relationships, another friend of mine has a big problem recently. Erm…maybe not a ‘big’ one, I don’t know. Maybe you can leave me a message and tell me if it is a serious one. The girl M has been seeing a guy for several months—he was attracted to her and started the courtship. He is not rich, but is good to M in many ways, in the beginning. Of course you have to spend some money while dating a girl. Gradually he mentioned he doesn’t make a lot of money, and suggested M they should split the bill when they went out. Even worse, he said he would give M a hand since there’s something wrong with her pc. You might say, hey ain’t it great. But he told M to shout him at least 10 meals when they are together. =_= Hmm… after I heard this, I truly had no idea what went wrong nowadays. Men are all like this now? I thought they are willing to treat girls while dating. Don’t they wanna make a good impression? Or they stop being generous after they know their girls have fallen deeply enough?

Thus, I guess I am not in a hurry to settle down with a man at all. M’s been nice to her man—she did spend ( I don’t know how much already ) money on him. That guy never introduced her to his friends, so their relationship is still “safe”—no need to tell others or explain about anything if they break up. Being a friend, I think I can only act like just what I did for P. Ahh…I don’t mind shouting P or M when they need friendship! *smiles*

Wish P good luck

Today is the second day of this new semester…school started yesterday. We had some new English teachers here—as a matter of fact they are substitute teachers, who are like casuals in other companies. And one on practical training, whose nick is P. She will have to follow an experienced formal teacher ( not me, but another colleague of mine) and learn how to teach students and make them behave. Since we worked together for the English summer camp during this summer break, she’s taken me as an older sister ( or another mom maybe…urm I think too much hahaha. )

P left me a message on my desk this morning, telling me she gotta talk with me. Later on she came and said she had a big problem and was afraid she would cry while talking about it. I didn’t think it was a good idea to talk in my office then—many teachers were around. So we left for another quiet place at school, and I listened to her story. Pretty soon she cried like a baby…I didn’t exaggerate…*sighs* She did feel very bad because the guy she’s seen for around 1 year told her a few days ago he would break up with her after he got fired. He’s been working in a café as a waiter since he graduated from a univ. Well…must say it is not a new story. Many couples break up in this world every day. Therefore, it is still heartbreaking because it is her first love.

What could I do? Just be a good listener, and advised her not to meet that guy again. She previously wanna do so—to get her book back and tell the guy how sad and uncomfortable she feels. I said NO. Don’t need to tear the heart once again this way. A book doesn’t cost much. Don’t send sms. Don’t call him! The only thing P needs to do is forget about the guy who doesn’t want her any longer and move on as fast as she can. Yes…and find a guy who is into her first, wanna build a relationship up, and chase her. It is fated to break up once the guy feels the girl loves him too much, never a challenge for him. I enjoy being chased by guys…and really it is stupid to “choke” the man I want with too much loving care right? *grins*

P has to realize this—her b/f, soon her ex I must say… has been giving her hints that he doesn’t really love her during the “courtship”. Easy to tell, but she loves him too much to see it through. So sorry for her. We females gotta remember: Never chase guys. Fall in love with those who love us more and we are really crazy about. P is a nice girl…and she is lucky to have such a good “big sister” like me—I don't wanna be another mom of hers... Do hope she can be fine asap after crying for that guy. Think bright, move on, and finally get a wonderful Mr. Right!

OK...my favorite topic. It is traditional Korean food--fried rice on the left and some BBQ ( vegetables and niangao though since I am a vegetarian...) They always have spicy paocai on the table, but I didn't get any. Posted by Picasa

Many traditional Korean houses. They look like ancient Chinese ones don't they. Posted by Picasa

Do you know them

They said the characters are famous. And the local tour guide told us many Japanese obasans stood on the stone to be near the man...posing like they were to kiss the guy in that big poster...Ahh no I would not. ( I don't think korean guys are better...) Posted by Picasa

Shopping in Shaoguan

Shaoguan is a big city in Guangdong, where you can see many stores and I do think it is just like Taipei. The only difference is prices there are surely lower--a cup of pearl milk tea only costs 1 RMB, you know. Posted by Picasa

Met my good old friend

Went meet a friend from the states yesterday. She is my
old friend...we knew each other back to our high school
days. She married an American man, who's tall and
strong, looks like he can protect her well. *smiles* I
am happy for her. So my friend came back to visit her
family here and would stay for 2 months. One more
important mission for her is she has to go to Taichung
to learn 'qi gong' and get some therapy because she
would like to bear children. Hmm her body's not strong
enough yet...anyway, wish her good luck!

I took her to a vegetarian restaurant, hehe of course my
treat. And she was real surprised to see the buffet
there--never seen one in the states before. *chuckles*
Americans enjoy having big steaks ain't them. That's why
I always say NO when friends suggest me to find a
western guy. Veggie food in Taiwan is not only popular
but delicious. Not expensive as well. To be concluded, I
would get a Taiwanese b/f here. *girns*

Paid 5200NT for Justy

2 happy events

Want someone gorgeous

Hotter and hotter these days...gotta turn AC on in the
early morning otherwise I can't even start working. Ahh
I don't complain anymore since I can enjoy cool air in
the office. Going to move to another office--this time I
will stay on the 3rd floor for 1 year. Well...maybe
easier to keep fit, you know. When my office is on the
fifth floor, I just take the lift. *sighs* No wonder
it's harder to keep fit.

As for my work, I am going to hold an English camp for
my school. The most interesting is we are to ask some
American teacher to take over--let students enjoy the
'western look'. I told the clerk who is responsible for
this case, 'please find us a gorgeous guy!' *winks*
Looking forward to meeting our American teacher...

What a busy day!

Three events for today...quite a busy Monday I must say.

1. Some teacher ( Mr. Lee ) put a sticky board under my
desk in the office, and I was real stunned to find a
mouse on it this morning! Luckily my colleague, another
teacher ( Mr. Huang ) was in the office too. I didn't
scream but ran away ( ok in fact I didn't run but
walked. ) He was nice to help...move the dying little
creature away.

2. Went for a meeting this afternoon with my little boss
( Big boss was too busy to go. ) They would like us to
have an English camp. On the way to our school, I
suddenly saw a friend of mine taking the escalator at
one MRT station. Hah I left my little boss alone, took
off, and called the friend loudly while I was taking the
same escalator. So fun to see the facial expression of
my friend's! We talked happily for a while and waved
goodbye at Taipei Main Station.

3. IRCed with a friend from an American server. He just
broke up with his g/f and felt bad. Of course I
comforted him for a while and encourage him to move on.
He joked how come I didn't want to accept him and move
to the states. *chuckles* I really don't think it's a
good idea to find my true love in this cyber world.
Guess the best way is to find it IRL. *winks* My
American friend agreed with me, but he still asked me
not to rule him out. I wouldn't, since he has beautiful
blue eyes.

This big house is owned by a very rich and famous family
in Taiwan. I was in the garden. In back of me was a
small pond--I think it's about 'feng shui' ( wind and
water ) and then they can get more and more fortune. Posted by Picasa

In Lugang

Took a trip with colleagues to Zhanghua for 3 days. No
classes now, so I got some free time to have fun. The
city we visited is Lugang, which is well-known for
temples. The photo was taken at one, where people came
to pray for wealth. There are big ancient Chinese coins
on the little 'hill'. And the statue beside my feet is
kids pull a cart. The cargo? Of course money. hehe I
know we all wanna be rich! Posted by Picasa

Wider, my eyes!

Real tired...yeah my students in the 9th grade graduated already. No classes for me to teach now. How come I am this tired? Hehe of course I still have other work to do, like the lesson plans for next semester, and persuade my boss to let new students use another English magazine--to help them improve their listening comprehension.

In addition to my work at school, I went swimming this afternoon after a very boring meeting. Heh I cannot swim well, but it doesn't matter. I still had lots of fun playing in the water. The best part was, you know, when I finished shower and shampoo, sat comfortably in a chair outside the bathroom, and used a hair drier to dry my wet hair, some nice person reminded me that the hair drier was there to dry people feet... @_@ good. How come I didn't see the notice there!

Not I wanna stay up

To be the leader of ETs

My boss from the Teaching Department at my school asked to see me yesterday morning. Of course my break time, and no, not that there would be any affair going to happen. My boss is a woman too, pretty smart, with great capabilities. I was wondering what she would like to meet me though...as I answered her call in my office. Anyway gotta proceeded to her office and then we had a 'big' talk. Her intention was to make me the leader of the ETs here. =_=" Ahh. We just had a meeting last Mon afternoon and voted. My boss told me the teacher, Ms. Chang, who we voted to be our leader, had met her a few times, crying and begging her to find another teacher to take over the position. Thus my boss accepted her request and she thought I was the right one...

Mr. Battery-II

Mr. Battery

Finished the Hospital

Finished reading the novel. I wondered if I have
read it before...since I could 'predict' what
would happened after Dr. Su met the social manager
Judy. *chuckles* Really interesting the story is.

Friday, a rainy day. My little car is wet again
because of the leaking problem. A few days ago
there was a small pond under my seat. Gotta use an
old bath towel to soak the water. Some friend
suggested I should go purchase a 'new' car, which
is second-hand as well but still in a good
condition. Hmm...I still don't think I would spend
money buying one though.

Gotta sleep more

eah! Another month. I feel a bit better today.
Didn't do anything fun yesterday since I fell
sick...*sighs* Too bad, the weather was fine on
Dragon's Festival! There were some contests but I
was too weak to go watch them. Spent most of the
time lying on the bed, and weird enough, you know,
I still had the strong feeling of hunger! I think
many patients wouldn't feel hungry while they were
in bed sleeping all day long. *shrugs* Maybe it
depends. Maybe my body would like more nutrition.

I started to read the novel "The Hospital" written
by Hou Wenyong. Hehe our president's son-in-law is
a doctor, and some people said the events happened
these days are just like those described in this
novel. Worth reading ain't it.

A lesson to learn

Happened to meet the principal...and I regret that
I turned down the offer--our principal would give
me a vegetarian rice dumpling. *sighs* I was so
immature! Really should have accepted it happily,
and then I could give one made by my mom to return
the favor. =_= I must remember this lesson.

By the way I gotta say these days we teachers and
students have the most relaxing school time since
the first CBT is over. In class we read novels and
comic books; one boy student even brought a COMPAQ
notebook! I went over to take a look...too bad not
able to come online in the classroom. A good friend
of mine lent me some books written by Hou Wenyong-
-in case I feel too bored at school. *chuckles*
Pretty grateful I am...and I wish the friend good
luck--good health, good fortune as well!

My breakfast!

I had a bao zi and a rice dumpling for breakfast...yummy! :D Posted by Picasa
